First came the rumors.
Sick people. Overcrowded hospitals. News that changed every few hours.

Then they stopped being rumors.

Cities began to shut down, communications failed, and schools were evacuated.

By the time most people realized that this was not a passing crisis, it was already too late.

Sports teams that once worried about tournaments, training, and games now had much more basic concerns: finding food, water, and a safe place to spend the night.

At first, staying apart seemed like the safest option.

Each team began to organize their own resources, establish shifts, and protect their shelter.

The captains assumed leadership again, although this time there were no coaches or teachers to take charge of the decisions.

The teams were no longer just volleyball teams. Now they were small groups of survivors.

Several months have passed since the outbreak began.

The shelters already have established routines. Some teams have managed to communicate with each other and have begun to exchange resources.

There is no true alliance between them yet.

These are independent groups that have learned that, occasionally, it is more beneficial to help each other than to compete. Visits between shelters are infrequent and usually have a specific purpose: to exchange supplies, share information, or ask for help.

Despite everything, there are still moments of normality.

Impromptu training sessions. Card games. Absurd arguments. People still making jokes.

Because even after the end of the world, they're still teenagers.
