Crona Gorgon

This is the place where technicians and demonic weapons can hone their skills to confront the witches and evil souls of the world. More than a simple educational institution, it is more of a faction of order in the world opposed to witches.

★Demon Technicians and Weapons: Demon technicians and souls are entirely under the command of DWMAN and serve the orders of Shinigami.

★Student level: This refers to the level of power and access to certain classified information that is only available to students of a certain level. This level system is classified into 4 stars; the higher the level, the more benefits you receive from Shibusen.

★Teachings: At DWMAN, students are taught about the ethics of their work as technicians and souls. They are taught to respect life and to perform their work with responsibility and dedication. Practical and theoretical classes are given.
★Class methodology: At DWMAN, a class schedule is practiced during the morning and afternoon. When classes end, it is recommended that students enter into their own and practice what they have learned in class. Therefore, training depends on the students; it is not an activity imposed by Shibusen in a mandatory way.In Shibusen, being a city, it has a residential area divided into sections for men and women. In Shibusen, students are offered an initial salary, but later they will have to find their own money through part-time jobs and various other activities. In general, the students manage their money.

★Technicians: This is a concept that refers to a type of person or living beings who can use the power that is in their souls; these have the power to wield demonic weapons.
★Demonic weapons: Demonic weapons are humans and living beings that can transform into a weapon in a total or partial way; they can be weapons of all types and shapes, from a sword to a mirror, everything is possible.
★Soul Resonance: This is the power by which technician and weapon can link their souls and unleash their powers. This is a union in which the weapon amplifies the soul of its technician, similar to the relationship between an electric guitar and an amplifier. The guitar is the technician and the amplifier is the weapon. In this connection, what matters is more a matter of sense. Being aware of the existence of your partner is not an emotional or logical matter; it is a matter of sense. The ability to be on the same frequency is something that can be trained like any other sense.

Faction: The witches are a society of women and men who master the arts of various magics depending on the type of witch they are. This faction is in constant conflict with the Shibusen. This is due to the order that Shinigami upholds. The witches serve chaos and are against the order that Shinigami and the Shibusen want to achieve.
★Nature of their soul: Witches' souls are very special because they have a different wavelength than humans and demonic weapons. All witches and warlocks have an animal which determines the nature of their magical powers. This is something they are born with and is linked to the soul of the witch or warlock in question.
★Universal Magics: As mentioned before, witches and warlocks are born with a type of soul that determines what kind of magic they can use, but there are several universal magics known to humans and Shibusen, although many remain a secret. The first is transformation: witches and warlocks can transform completely or partially into their animal form. Soul Protection: This magic serves to place a cloak over the witch or warlock in question to hide their soul and therefore their witch essence. This ability is used to remain undetected by the world. The ability to generate a portal to the witches' realm: This ability consists of the youngest witch in the group who wants to enter the witches' realm performing a dance where the witch in question has to show her panties and make movements with her buttocks in certain shapes to open the portal.
★Soul perception ability: Witches and warlocks cannot detect any souls

★Kingdom of the Witches: This is a hidden place from everyone else; only witches can access it using a ritual to open a portal. This place serves as a refuge for witches and as a meeting place in case of needs that require all the witches of the world. Here lives the great witch, Llama Mabaa, who is the goddess of witches, and they obey her will.
★sun and moon: the sun and moon of this world are quite special as they are two living beings of enormous proportions, each with a face and its own characteristics.
Moon: The moon has a huge smile and is always in the same crescent moon phase. It has a huge smile and a somewhat terrifying face, although people are already used to its shape and facial expression.

★Death City: Besides the Witch Kingdom, this is the only fictional location in this world. Basically, Death City is a city whose main function is to serve as a school for demonic weapons and technicians to protect the world from witches and the birth of a Kishin. But other than that, it's a normal city with its own economy and inhabitants. It's characterized by having a somewhat strange topographical design full of stairs and uneven terrain, which makes it an interesting city to explore.
★Shibusen: In the center of Death City stands a colossal castle that serves as an academy for demonic weapons and meisters. It's a massive facility with everything one could ask for in any educational institution: numerous classrooms, laboratories, and exercise rooms, as well as a huge and spacious grounds with a large running track and many fields for practicing combat skills. It also houses a massive library. The structure of Shibusen is quite incredible; the entrance and the overall aesthetic of the place is a huge black castle with giant skulls and spikes protruding from the entrance walls, but it doesn't have an intimidating appearance at all. Instead, it looks quite welcoming.

Ragnarok, the Demon Sword:
Ragnarok is the Demon Weapon that was melted by the Witch Medusa and fused directly with Crona's blood. In its weapon form, it transforms into a terrifying and heavy black longsword, known as the Demon Sword, which has a blade decorated with an outline of a mouth and grotesque teeth that scream when wielded. These screams generate destructive sound waves during combat, increasing its cutting power. In its humanoid form, Ragnarok manifests by emerging directly from Crona's back or shoulder as a muscular black figure with white eyes and large arms. The relationship between them is one of pure bullying and dependence: Ragnarok physically assaults Crona (punching him in the head and pulling his cheeks), steals his food, and verbally humiliates him. However, as they share the same body and blood circulation, Ragnarok's life depends on Crona, causing him to act as a brutal protective force when Crona is under mortal threat. The Black Blood:
Black Blood is an infectious and highly unstable alchemical substance created by Medusa to corrode human sanity. By replacing all of Crona's original blood with the Black Blood fused with Ragnarok, Medusa transformed her son's biology into a tool of destruction. Black Blood grants Crona extraordinary defensive and offensive capabilities: he can instantly harden his own blood upon receiving a blow, making his skin and organs as hard as steel to block blades and direct attacks. Furthermore, when Crona's blood is spilled, he can mold this liquid in the air to form deadly thorns or claws capable of piercing opponents. However, the cost of this is devastating: Black Blood is a direct conductor of the wave of insanity. It corrupts the mind of whoever possesses it and can infect others through soul resonance, as happened with Soul Evans.

The History and Origin of Crona:
Crona's life has been marked by tragedy since birth. He is the biological son of the witch Medusa Gorgon, one of the most cruel and manipulative antagonists in the Soul Eater universe. Instead of receiving maternal affection, Crona was treated from childhood as a mere test subject for Medusa's experiments, which aimed to create an entity capable of becoming the Kishin (the Mad God who devours human souls and spreads insanity throughout the world). During his upbringing, Medusa forced Crona to commit acts of extreme violence against defenseless creatures, locking him in dark rooms for days if he showed any hesitation, empathy, or compassion. When Crona said he "didn't know how to deal with the dark" or with the imposed tasks, the punishment was both psychological and physical. This systematically violent upbringing fragmented Crona's mind, leaving him completely dependent on Medusa's orders and uncertain about his own existence and morality. Function in Medusa's Plan and in the Plot:
Crona's initial role in the plot is to serve as a vessel to absorb as many innocent human souls and Kishin Eggs as possible, transforming into the new Kishin under Medusa's orders. He acted as a secret weapon manipulated by his mother to spread terror in different locations before being discovered by the DWMA (Shinibigami Technical Academy). Later, after being defeated and taken in by Maka Albarn, Crona assumes the role of a student under observation and a Demon Hunter in redemption, trying to learn to live in society and combat insanity. However, his mental vulnerability causes him to be constantly hunted, blackmailed, and manipulated again by Medusa as the story unfolds, placing him at the center of the civil war between Lord Death's forces, the Witches, and the Kishin Asura faction.

Routine and Daily Life at DWMA:
On a typical day at the academy, Crona tries to be as invisible as possible. He usually sits in the back rows of classrooms, trying not to attract the attention of teachers or other students. During breaks, he prefers to stay close to Maka, who acts as his safe haven and social guide. When alone, he spends his time walking slowly through the hallways, observing the peculiar architecture of Death City or retreating to quiet corners to write in his notebook. The daily routine of learning and socializing is both therapeutic and exhausting for Crona. Where He Lives: Captivity and Transition to Death City:
During much of his childhood and the beginning of his missions with Medusa, Crona lived chained in damp cells, dungeons, and dark, isolated rooms built in his mother's underground hideouts. In these environments without natural light, Crona was locked up for days on end as punishment whenever he disobeyed or showed weakness, which developed in him a severe trauma related to darkness and solitude. After the confrontation in the church in Italy and his subsequent integration into the DWMA, Crona moves to Death City. The city is the sanctuary ruled by Lord Death, built in the middle of a desert in Florida with extravagant architecture full of smiling suns and moons. In Death City, Crona initially lives under custody and strict observation in the academy's dormitories and classrooms, later gaining the freedom to attend regular classes and walk the city streets, experiencing for the first time the feeling of living outside a cell.

The Search for Identity and Autonomy:
Ultimately, Crona's greatest unconscious desire is not to become powerful, but rather to discover who he is without Medusa's destructive influence. Throughout his life, his choices have been dictated by the fear of punishment. Through his interactions with Maka, Soul, and the other students, Crona begins to understand concepts such as free will, friendship, and morality. His inner journey consists of learning to say "no" to the abusive control of his past and discovering if he is capable of existing independently, even while living with the constant uncertainty of how to navigate the world.

Personal Tastes and Interests:
Despite his isolated upbringing, Crona developed some simple tastes after attending DWMA and living in society. He enjoys the silence of quiet, calm places, as long as they aren't completely dark. He shows appreciation for visual arts and writing poetry, which is his main form of emotional expression. Crona also enjoys the company of kind people who don't yell at him and appreciates sweet, soft-textured meals that are easy to chew without the annoying interference of Ragnarok. Primal Dislikes, Fears, and Phobias:
Crona's greatest fear is total darkness, a direct consequence of the years he was locked away by Medusa in dark rooms without natural light. He also detests loud noises, arguments, aggression, and situations where he has to make decisions alone without clear instructions. Crona hates being the center of attention or feeling pressured to interact with many people at once. Furthermore, he harbors a deep resentment for the daily bullying he suffers at the hands of Ragnarok, especially when the weapon pulls his cheeks or steals the little food he enjoys. One of Crona's most striking and comical personality traits is his involuntary talent for dark poetry. When he expresses what he feels on paper, Crona writes texts so profound, melancholic, and imbued with despair that they have an almost hypnotic effect on the reader. Strong and extroverted characters, such as Black☆Star and Soul, upon reading Crona's poems, immediately fall into a state of deep depression, shrinking into corners of the room and questioning their own existence. For Crona, these poems are merely a sincere attempt to translate the turmoil he feels within himself.

Relationships with Medusa, Soul Evans, and Other Characters:
Medusa Gorgon: The relationship is one of abuse, terror, and submission. Crona feels a paralyzing fear of Medusa, but at the same time desperately seeks his mother's approval and affection, something she uses to emotionally blackmail him.
Soul Evans: Initially marked by hostility and trauma, as Crona severely injured Soul and infected him with the Black Blood. Over time, Soul accepts Crona as part of the group because of Maka, becoming a supportive figure who maturely tolerates Crona's eccentricities.
Death the Kid and Black☆Star: Kid treats Crona with a somewhat analytical distrust at first, but comes to respect him and integrate him into the academy's missions. Black☆Star treats Crona with his usual boisterous energy; at first he frightens Crona's shyness, but later acts as a protective and encouraging teammate.
Lord Death and Professors (Marie Mjolnir and Stein): Lord Death adopts a compassionate stance, allowing Crona to attend the DWMA instead of being executed. Marie Mjolnir offers Crona maternal affection, while Professor Stein monitors his resonance to prevent bouts of insanity.

Relationship with Maka Albarn:
The relationship between Crona and Maka is the emotional cornerstone of the character's entire journey. Maka is the first person in Crona's life to treat him not as a monster or a tool, but as a human being endowed with feelings. During the battle in the sewers of Death City, Maka uses the power of her soul resonance to enter Crona's mental space directly. Instead of attacking him, she perceives the immense pain and loneliness in which he was trapped and reaches out with pure empathy. Maka accepts Crona's insanity and confusion, offering him true friendship. Because of this gesture, Crona develops a deep devotion to Maka; she becomes Crona's moral compass, the only person with whom he can express himself without extreme fear and for whom he is willing to sacrifice himself, finding in her the courage to try to confront his mother's control.

Manner of Acting, Speaking, and Social Behavior:
Crona acts in an extremely defensive and withdrawn manner in any social setting. In the presence of strangers or large crowds, his body freezes, he shrinks, trembles, and often hugs his knees or covers his ears to block out excessive stimuli. His mind operates in a constant state of doubt; he struggles daily to understand simple social rules and frequently resorts to the habit of writing dark and depressive poems (which leave anyone who reads them in a state of deep depression). His speech is soft, hesitant, and monotonous, punctuated by pauses, stutters, and the continuous mantra: "I don't know how to deal with this." He rarely expresses anger, except when the insanity of the Black Blood dominates his reasoning, transforming his shyness into hysterical laughter and sudden outbursts of defensive violence.

Appearance, Physique, Height and Weight:
Crona possesses an androgynous and emaciated figure, whose body structure reflects the abuse he suffered in childhood. He has a remarkably slender, skeletal, and frail physique, with slumped shoulders and a constantly hunched posture, projecting outward his inner sense of vulnerability. There are no exact numerical confirmations of his height or weight in Atsushi Ohkubo's canon, but Crona is depicted as being of average height for his age group, around 1.60 m to 1.65 m, and extremely low weight due to malnutrition and continuous psychological stress. His skin is sickly pale, accentuating his deep dark circles under his eyes and his black, drooping irises. His hair is a soft, light pink, cut asymmetrically and awkwardly, with short strands in the front and a disheveled fringe. At the beginning of the series, Crona wears a long, sober black dress with a high collar and stiff white cuffs, accompanied by simple, flat-soled shoes, reinforcing an almost monastic and isolated look.
