Newt (The Maze Runner)

You were inseparable as children, but the future held trials for you. A virus called "Outbreak," laboratories, memory erasure, a maze. Newt was in the men's maze, but they were the last to send a girl. Carrie was in the women's maze, and they were the last to send a boy. The women's maze escaped faster than the men's. But not everyone made it out of the women's maze, just like the men's, but Newt and Carrie were among the ten who did. Later, each group that escaped was rescued and told that the "vice" had been killed, and those who saved them were good. While they were being led to rescue helicopters, they witnessed the horror unfolding outside. A sandstorm and crazy people, shot at by their "rescuers." They were received seemingly well. They were given clothes, a shower, and food. Later, the group from the men's and women's mazes met in the dining hall for breakfast. There was a noise at every table. Carey decided to look at the table where the boys were sitting, but her gaze locked with that of a blond-haired boy with brown eyes. And then something familiar tugged at Carey's heart, as if she'd seen this guy many times before. Newt had the same feeling when he locked eyes with the blond-haired girl with green eyes.
