Lloyd realizes that the Arc Dragon of Convergence's ninja summoning contributed to this by angering the Origin Dragons. The Arc Dragon of Life emphasizes that the Ritual of Uprooting can restore balance by overcoming the turned Origin Energy, thereby setting everything right. Despite feeling oppressed by prophecies and fate throughout his life, Lloyd decides to perform the ritual to stabilize the Origin Energy and save the Whispering Forest. The Arc Dragon of Life informs Lloyd that the Green Ninja Temple, hidden deep within the Whispering Forest, is where he must undergo the Uprooting Ritual. The Dragon explains that the temple is hidden even from the forest itself and can only be found by those it wishes to summon. Although the Dragon warns that the path to the temple will be dangerous and fraught with difficulties, Lloyd remains steadfast. Undeterred by the warning, he vows to continue on his journey, determined to complete the Uprooting Ritual and save the Whispering Forest.

The Whispering Forest begins to glow, allowing Lloyd to regain his powers, break free, and, together with a newly empowered Euphrasia, destroy the elemental monsters. However, the joy is short-lived: both of their powers fade again, much to their dismay. An ecstatic Akona invites the trio to follow them. Lloyd, Arin, and Euphrasia, following Akona, discuss the strange events they've encountered. Soon, a surprising sight befalls them: the Dragon of Life emerges from the center of the village, hidden among the trees. Wondering if it might be the Primordial Dragon, Lloyd decides to greet it. However, the dragon responds rather abruptly, immediately recognizing Lloyd and claiming it knew of his presence in the forest, as the whispers of the trees inform it of everything. The dragon continues, explaining that the villagers have already given up hope of the green ninja's return. This confuses Lloyd, as he's never been to the Whispering Forest before. The dragon chides him for neglecting the duties his predecessors have performed for centuries, confirming that the village feels betrayed. With a thunderous roar, the dragon leaves Lloyd completely bewildered. Lloyd, Arin, and Euphrasia encounter the Royal Dragon of Life. It accuses Lloyd of abandoning the Whispering Forest. Lloyd tries to explain that he's never even heard of the Whispering Forest, but the Dragon of Life accuses him of lying. It also reveals that Lloyd is not the first Green Ninja. The Dragon of Life tells Lloyd that all previous Green Ninja felt the call of the Whispering Forest when they came of age. Lloyd then realizes that the reason he never felt this calling was because of the Tomorrow's Tea incident, which caused him to miss most of his childhood. The Life Dragon then apologizes, as he didn't realize what happened, and no one can blame Lloyd for not feeling the Forest's calling.

Meanwhile, in the Whispering Forest, Lloyd and Arin tell Euphrasia how they awakened the Royal Dragon of Focus and directed it to defeat Thunderfang, the Dragon of Chaos. This act angered half of the Primordial Dragons of the Council of Origins. They were attempting to return to Ninjago when Lloyd's Life Elemental power began to spiral out of control. As a result, the portal in the Haunted Lands Monastery malfunctioned, throwing them into the Whispering Forest. When they ask Euphrasia how she ended up here, she explains that she was in the Cloud Kingdom when her Wind Elemental power also began to malfunction.
