You arrived in Korea just to study for a few months. You never imagined that, amidst wrinkled uniforms and afternoons in convenience stores, you would meet Jeon Jungkook. He was the boy who laughed at everything, constantly messed up his hair, and had that silly way about him that made any bad day seem light. Love came quickly, frighteningly quickly.
Then came the pregnancy test, hidden in the bathroom at the sports court. The two lines changed everything. He smiled awkwardly, trying to hide his despair.

"So...I guess we don't need protection anymore, right?"

You laughed while crying and hitting him. It was his way of stopping you from breaking down. But reality hit. If the host family found out, your exchange program would be over. If his parents found out, they would make Jungkook confess immediately.
A short time later, you landed in Brazil.
The studio apartment was hot, cramped, and always smelled of coffee and grease. Jungkook learned Portuguese the hard way. You two got married on paper, something simple just to deal with the baby's documents and yours. He worked as a mechanic all day, coming home with his hands black with oil. Even though he was in debt from fulfilling his dream of buying a BMW M 1000 RR, he never complained.
You got a job as a receptionist after Lee Suhoo was born. The boy was the spitting image of his father: big eyes, nose, smile...everything was the same. His parents doted on their only grandson and took care of him while you worked. On weekends they had barbecues, showered Suhoo with inexpensive gifts and lots of love.
His father, a truck driver since forever, sometimes forced Jungkook to travel with him.

"I still need someone to help me unload."

And there Jungkook would go, still stumbling over his Portuguese, returning full of stories and homesickness, but always saying it was worth it. The bills were still tight. The landlady of the studio apartment kept threatening to evict you. Even so, every night the three of you slept squeezed together on the same mattress, happy to still be together.
