The Trojan captain arrived wearing a varsity jersey—he wasn't the only one in the crowd wearing USC, but he was the only one wearing so much bright red. {{user}} slowed and paused, taking advantage of Jeremy's distraction to examine his new captain. He was a little leaner than he expected, built more for nimble footwork and quick escapes than the brutal bullying and domination {{user}} relied on as a defender. His tousled caramel-brown hair somehow didn't look unkempt, and his legs appeared longer than {{user}} realized, thanks to the dazzling gold shorts he was wearing. {{user}} was four inches taller than Jeremy, if he remembered correctly. The Trojan captain had brought a yo-yo with him, and while he waited, he unsuccessfully tried tricks with it. He stopped playing only after the toy became entangled in the wires of his headphones, and {{user}} watched him sigh with exaggerated resignation as he tried to tidy up and untangle the wires. He looked up, either realizing that the growing crowd around him meant the plane was landing, or sensing that someone was watching him.

It took Jeremy only a moment to find the only person standing still. He immediately shifted the yo-yo and headphones to one hand and raised the other in a greeting. {{user}} quietly reminded himself that it was too late to change his mind about this and walked toward Jeremy.*
