War of the Unicorns

Maria is the tritagonist of Alberto Vásquez's second full-length animated film, Unicorn Wars.

She is a young teenage unicorn who was an orphan.

Like all other unicorns, she appears as a dark purple silhouette of a unicorn with white glowing eyes.

Maria is shown as a kind and protective creature, often interacting with much of the wildlife throughout the forest. Maria serves as a tragic "protective orphan" whose attempt to find peace and friendship is ultimately crushed by the fascist indoctrination of the teddy bear army and the anti-war movement.

Maria is a young teenage unicorn, often referred to as a unicorn, who lives in the Enchanted Forest. She is the daughter of Carmen, who is killed at the beginning of the film by a squad of teddy bears led by Private Coco. In the film's prologue, a grieving Maria is lured into the ruins of an old church by a voice she believes is her mother's. Instead, she finds a grotesque, formless figure.

The "Sludge Monster" (worshipped by Mimians) attempts to devour her. She barely escapes, but this encounter foreshadows her ultimate fate.

Bears love blueberries, although few of them can eat them because they grow in a small area, as all the blueberry bushes are in the magical forest, which is very dangerous to enter.

Their fur (all over their bodies) is black, their eyes usually glow faintly, and their horns are quite long, which they use to ram bears, although their primary function is to promote plant growth and thus sustain life in the forest. Unicorns' mission and priority is to protect the forest, and they do not tolerate any reason for bears to be present in the forest. Unicorns have their own language, so they cannot communicate with bears, and bears cannot communicate with unicorns.

Father is a bear with a neutral, gentle appearance, his fur lavender-colored, and his eyes are never visible because he always wears opaque glasses that prevent anyone from seeing through them, though rumor has it he has beautiful golden eyes. He is calm, usually serious and neutral, quiet, yet willing to give his life to protect others. No one knows exactly why he accompanies the group.

Sergeant Caresses is the leader and head of the squad. He is imposing and serious in appearance, his fur is grayish-brown, and he has a light spot on his face. He is very tall. His personality is serious, generally sexist, homophobic, grumpy, irritable, impatient, and always shows signs of being in a bad mood. He is always strict with his new recruits.

He is very nervous in the presence of his superiors (Colonel Otto, Commander Fluffy and Captain Snouts) because he is naively afraid of them.

Blackie is a sturdy-looking bear, with brown fur and lighter brown spots on his belly and body. He is the tallest of all his companions. He has a sweet, friendly, and slightly brave personality, and he cares for his companions, especially Achuchones. He is the second strongest bear thanks to his strong body. Although his appearance may seem a bit stern at first glance, he is actually very sweet and enjoys having his fur brushed.

The Mimozine Twins are a pair of identical twins. They are gentle and sweet, with pure white fur and small black eyes. They are always together and inseparable, loving each other dearly. Their personalities are gentle, friendly, sociable, a little nervous, and at times a little childish. They both tire quickly, although they always strive to move forward together.

Smileys is a bear with a smiley face, mustard-colored fur, and lime-green eyes. He always has a wide smile, believing that health is reflected in the health of his smile. He has a friendly, humorous, sociable, and sometimes sweet personality, and he doesn't tire as quickly as most of his relatives.

Pandy is a fragile-looking bear, with fur resembling a panda's and honey-colored eyes. He is friendly, observant, and a bit self-centered, but always tries to compensate for this with kindness. He tires very quickly, but does everything in his power to live up to the expectations of his beloved companions.

Koko is a sturdy bear with pastel yellow fur, lavender eyes, a white belly patch, and a slightly larger-than-average nose. He is strong, bold, and courageous, and always follows the rules to the letter. He is kind and responsible, always supporting his weaker comrades. He is a very experienced soldier in the squad, and Azulina's sworn enemy, as they constantly compete to be the best in the squad, although Koko always, or most of the time, wins these competitions. He proves so effective that the sergeant orders him to become the squad leader.

Achukhones is a bear with a beautiful and charming appearance. His fur is mint-colored with a white spot on his belly, his eyes are bright yellow (poison yellow), he may have flat paws (or feet), and he always wears a yellow bow, which matches his appearance very well. His personality is egocentric, jealous, impatient, and generally fragile. He loves himself and always tries to look good, even in war, loves his mother, and has plenty of friends. He considers himself the cutest on the team. He is incapable of complex training.

Gordy is a bear with a rather unattractive and unappealing appearance. He's chubby, so people always think he's chubby. His fur is pastel pink, and his eyes are the same color, but slightly darker. His ears are slightly floppy, but not too much. He has a very charming personality: he's kind, affectionate, generous, sensitive, and nervous, and usually only remains silent when mistreated, especially by his brother, Azulyn.

Azulyn is a bear with a sweet and attractive appearance: light blue fur and light blue eyes, a belly spot lighter than his fur, and a white spot on his body. But he has a terrible temper. He is envious, jealous, hateful, and narcissistic, and is also very manipulative. Azulyn is always trying to humiliate others, especially his brother, Gordy.

Anthropomorphic build, different fur colors (depending on the bear), different heights, mostly short (approximately 165 cm), although taller bears are also found (approximately 175 cm).

Many years ago, bears and unicorns lived in harmony with all other animals. One day, a group of bears infiltrated the ruins of a church and discovered a sacred book that enabled them to gain sentience and create their own civilization, leading them to evolve into their current form of "teddy bears." According to their beliefs, the unicorns drove the bears out of the forest out of spite for their newfound knowledge. In reality, the damage they caused to the forest provoked a retaliatory reaction from the unicorns, leading to a war between the bears and the unicorns.
