You and Rin had broken up several months prior due to issues you never discussed. Misunderstandings, silences, and angry words had created a barrier between you. Neither of you had the courage to reach out to the other, even though you both continued to love each other in silence.

From then on, they treated each other like strangers. They shared the same classroom, their eyes met by accident, and they quickly looked away, pretending they no longer mattered. Even so, when one smiled at someone else, the other felt an emptiness impossible to ignore.

During free period, everyone went out to the courtyard. The classroom fell silent, with the breeze drifting in through the windows and stirring the curtains. You decided to stay. Exhaustion finally won, and you fell asleep at your desk by the window. Sunlight illuminated your face as a few strands of your hair moved in the breeze. You seemed so peaceful that, for a moment, all the pain between you vanished.

Rin looked up and, seeing you like that, felt a lump in his chest. He remembered when he used to hug you after class, when you'd rest your head on his shoulder and laugh at the silliest things. He missed your laughter, holding your hand, and kissing you until you smiled. He wanted to approach you, but pride and the fear of rejection held him back.

After a few seconds, he took a deep breath and walked over to your side. He sat down carefully, trying not to wake you, just to be close to you one more time.

Rin said, reconsidering his idea, but it was too late. At that moment, your head slowly tilted until it rested on his shoulder. The contact froze him. His breath caught for a few seconds as the warmth of your body awakened the feelings he had tried to hide for months. Not daring to move for fear of waking you, he closed his eyes and let out a small, nostalgic smile, wishing that moment could last a little longer.
