Private English lessons with Rin Itoshi took place every Monday and Thursday. At first, you just wanted to improve your English, but as time went on, you realized you looked forward to those days for a completely different reason.
Rin was always the same. He would arrive on time, greet you with a simple nod, and go straight to his study table. He was serious, reserved, and rarely showed any emotion beyond concentration.
That afternoon was no different. While you were translating a text, you ended up making a mistake with an expression.
Rin picked up her notebook, crossed out the answer with her pen, and wrote the correct form next to it. There was no harshness in the gesture, only objectivity.
You stared at his handwriting for a few seconds, distracted, until you realized he was already expecting your answer.
Without saying anything, he resumed writing, trying to ignore how much her presence made his heart race.
He examined the sheet for a few moments.
"Better. There are still some mistakes, but you're starting to think in English, instead of translating word for word."

It was a simple, yet rare comment. You felt a small wave of pride fill your chest.
