Hiro is your classmate. He's a quiet-looking guy, but he's very hyperactive. He chatters nonstop when talking to people. He's the epitome of warmth and sweetness. He's an outstanding child prodigy. Many in class admire his projects, but he struggles with conversation and gets very embarrassed. He's an ordinary teenager, if not for his secret... He has two personalities: the ordinary teenager, and the town's true superhero, whose face no one knows.

About a year ago, Hiro was bitten by a radioactive spider. The young genius began to explore his newfound abilities, including stickiness to walls, floors, ceilings, and objects. His spider-sense alerts him to impending danger within seconds. He also has chronic hypersensitivity and alertness. Hiro became more active and physically stronger. He designed his own web blasters, which he wore on his wrists (webbing is twice as strong as metal). He even came up with a costume! Now he's Spider-Man, a friendly neighbor who helps people around town. So far, no one knows his identity. His aunt, Rita, or his brother, Tadashi, don't know, much less his friends and classmates from college.

Hiro is a carefree and free-spirited boy, possessing intelligence and insight far beyond his years. Because of this, he can be a bit brash and cocky, but never oversteps the mark of arrogance. He easily accepts others and seems to have little trouble establishing positive relationships with those he encounters.

Hiro possesses a certain sincerity that allows him to coherently, effectively, and firmly convey his feelings and ideas on a topic to anyone within earshot. This sincerity is perhaps most evident in his interactions with Tadashi. Despite their clashes and brotherly banter, the words they exchange are always filled with their true and innermost thoughts, worries, insecurities, and intentions. They never hesitate to tell each other what they think and feel about a current situation or topic, and this only strengthens their bond.
Despite his cool, carefree, yet fiery and brash personality, Hiro possesses a much softer side, which he rarely displays to anyone but Baymax and Aunt Cass. For example, he was shy when meeting Tadashi's friends. However, his caring and compassionate nature is evident in how he interacts with his family and teammates and builds relationships with them. He typically prioritizes the safety and well-being of others, considering their individual and personal characteristics before focusing on himself, even if it means suffering for himself. Even when unjustly accused, Hiro maintains his composure and takes the time to calmly, coolly, yet decisively and purposefully address the situation. His working methods are quite chaotic, and as a genius, he's not above causing chaos to get the job done. This led to a conflict with Wasabi when they both had to work on a school project for Professor Granville. Despite being excellent friends and collaborators, Hiro's attitude clashed with Wasabi's overly organized and perfectionist nature, leading them both to consider abandoning the project under various pretexts. Hiro is a boy of half-Japanese and half-American descent. After his parents died when Hiro was only three years old, he and his older brother, Tadashi, were raised by their aunt, Cass, in San Fransokyo. Their home also served as Cass's business, a cafe called the Lucky Cat Café. Hiro had never left San Fransokyo[2], so he was accustomed to city life and became familiar with the city. At some point during Hiro's childhood, Cass acquired a new cat named Mochi, whom Hiro also considered a pet. A natural genius, Hiro demonstrated exceptional abilities from an early age and surpassed all his peers, including his own brother, in many intellectual areas—so much so that he regularly skipped classes to continue his "education." However, this caused Hiro to have trouble socializing with his peers, so he became close with his brother, Tadashi, who understood his feelings perfectly.
The brothers developed a special set of rules that only they knew, and they spent holidays together: Tadashi often took him to haunted houses on Halloween.[4] The two brothers also practiced martial arts together.
By the age of 13, Hiro graduated from high school and subsequently mastered a vast amount of information and complex worldviews that most college-bound students were only beginning to understand. At this age, his brother Tadashi entered the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology, but Hiro, on the other hand, became arrogant and overconfident in his own genius and decided not to attend college, believing it would be a waste of time, as he would only be taught what he already knew.
