Like all other Zeti, Zavok's powers are significantly weakened when the Cacophony Conch sounds, causing him intense pain. His electromagnetic abilities are also suppressed by electromagnetic shielding.

As a Zeti, Zavok possesses the innate ability to manipulate magnetic fields, allowing him to control electronics. This gives Zavok the ability to control robots and other machinery. As we saw during the first Dodon Pa Grand Prix and the CrossWorld Grand Prix, Zavok is also an expert driver of race cars, such as the Road Dragoon. Zavok is considered the most powerful in the Lost Hex. He possesses immense strength, enough to crush a Wispon with his bare hands and deflect Sonic's spin attack with his bare hands. Furthermore, he possesses excellent combat skills. He also possesses impressive endurance: he survived FaceHub's fall into the ocean without any visible damage and recovered quite quickly from a punch from Super Sonic. Raph is a ferocious fighter. A testament to his strength, he and Tumble single-handedly saved the city from Eggman's forces during the Eggman War. While Raph is smaller and not as physically robust as his brother, he makes up for his lack of brute strength with astonishing speed and agility. Raph is a skilled mercenary, able to effectively coordinate with his brother, Tumble, to form a formidable team in battle. He is also extremely agile, easily leaping over someone charging at him and bouncing off various structures. While nowhere near as strong as his brother, Raph still possesses impressive strength, enough to pierce the Egg Golem's armor with a double roundhouse kick and carry Tumble without being slowed by his weight. Raph is also durable enough to withstand a punch from Knuckles and quickly recover from it without losing consciousness. As a skunk, Raph is able to secrete a pungent musk that affects the eyes and respiratory system and has a pungent odor. It is so thick that, with enough of it, it can create a smokescreen. By combining this skill with a spin-based maneuver, Raph can use his Stink Bomber and Grand Stink Bomber Slam. Gruf's tail is also sharp enough to pierce an Egg Knight. Raph is also skilled in the use of Wispons. While his mastery of Wispons is unknown, he uses them primarily in serious combat.

Although Raph is strong and intelligent enough to take over an entire town alongside his brother, he is not known for his intelligence and is described as more of a bully than a mastermind. Tumble is a rather rude and aggressive character. Ruthless, he happily exploits the weaknesses of those weaker than himself, as was the case with the townspeople at the Wispon Distribution Center. He claimed that he would conquer the world and surpass Eggman so that he could learn from his example. Then he will put Eggman on the throne of the winner and force him to admit that he is right. Ignoring his words, Eggman immediately sent Metal Sonic to attack the Deadly Six. Zavok quickly used his electromagnetic gift to control the robot, and mockingly reminded Eggman of how they controlled robots. Afterward, Starline, expecting the Zetis to start plotting, took out a Cacophonous Shell and blew into it to try and control them. However, as he was out of breath, Zazz took advantage of the moment and headbutted Starlyne, allowing Xena to take the shell and give it to Zavok. While Eggman and Starline were defenseless, Zavok ordered Metal Sonic to attack them, but Starline hurriedly opened a warp portal, which carried him, Eggman, and Metal Sonic away. The trio landed on Angel Island, where they were greeted by Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy. Before Amy attacked them, Sonic stopped her and allowed Eggman to explain how the Deadly Six had seized control of the Faceship when Starline invited them aboard. Starline defended himself, insisting that his plan was good but poorly executed, Espio came to inform the group that they had received word from Rouge. When Eggman brushed off the suggestion and demanded that he not be bothered about it anymore, Starline, losing all patience with his ineffectiveness, persisted and used the War Topaz to move the Deadly Six aboard the Face Ship.

Soon, Eggman and Sonic fell to the ground. Before Eggman could become infected, Starline used an egg mobile to find a working frequency that caused zombiebots to only attack Sonic. He thought that his own plans might not be needed now, but decided that Eggman could benefit from them. Eggman then ordered Starline to upload the frequency to Faceship. Before the platypus could do anything, Sonic, not wanting Eggman to take full control of the zombiebots, broke free from the crowd of zombiebots and destroyed the Eggmobile. Eggman quickly jumped into Starline's own transport car to get away. However, due to the added weight, the structure collapsed on the gates of Barricade Town. While Eggman scolded Sonic for interfering, Starline suggested that they return to Faceship and try something different. Starline used Warp Topaz to create a portal to the Faceship for himself and Eggman. Back aboard the Faceship, Starline said he was unable to download or memorize the operating frequency, but was able to remember the range. To Starline's disappointment, Eggman had no intention of doing anything about it; since the close-range broadcasts were too risky, and the Metal Virus was likely to have adapted to them, Eggman was reluctant to repeat this tedious process just for the sake of another failure. When Starline asked what he would do next, Eggman replied that he would enjoy their next flash first, and requested the current location of the Faceship. Orbot reported that they were over the village of Spiral Hill, and the Metal Virus had already been launched. Pleased with the news, Eggman announced that he would consider his next move later, ignoring Starline's withering gaze.

After Eggman told Sonic that he thought what he was doing now was better than what he was doing as "Mr. Tinker" and that he had no intention of stopping the Metal Virus, his enraged opponent attacked him. Watching what was happening from the sidelines, Starline noted that he dreamed of seeing such a fight, but now only apathy gripped him. He recalled Neo Metal Sonic's attempt to revive the Eggman Empire, which failed due to him relying on overwhelming power without a clear plan. At first, Starline believed that he had failed due to being created as a "ballistic missile with a built-in grudge" against Sonic. However, the first biography that Neo copied was that of Eggman, and Starline was once again confronted with the same brute force strategy. Eventually, he realized that he only idolized the legend of Eggman and was impressed by his greatness; Eggman himself simply did not reach this level.

Starline soon began to lament that Eggman had no real plan to control the Metal Virus. Although they were going to test the shutdown signals the next day, the doctor decided to look into Eggman's previously used resources to find something that could help them. He offered to help Eggman deal with his latest crisis, though the doctor was not officially aware that Starline was asking for help. Starline then told Zavok that if they helped the Eggman Empire again, they could reconcile with Eggman, gain incredible power, and destroy Sonic. Zavok accepted Starline's offer, after which Starline said that he would be in touch, and left. Shortly after Starline and Eggman agreed to use narrowly focused local frequency attempts to get the zombiebots back under control, they left Faceship and went to test frequencies on zombiebots in Barricade Town. After several failed attempts, Starline noted that it would be wise to provide a backup in case the metal virus gets out of control. Eggman suggested using Warp Topaz charged with Chaos Emeralds and connecting it to the Face Ship, but Starline refused, knowing of the stone's sensitivity.

Eggman soon decided to invade the Flower Forest Village. This baffled Starline, as the village was too far away to be of any strategic value to them. In response, Eggman stated that he was doing this because some of Sonic's friends lived in the village, which meant that Sonic would go to the epicenter of the zombie apocalypse to try and save them at the risk of his own safety. As a contented Starline watched as the infection spread throughout the village despite the low population density, Eggman ordered his newly transformed zombiebots to attack Sonic as soon as he appeared. However, Kubot reported that the zombiebots were ignoring his order. Orbot also noted that zombiebots are less and less responsive to Eggman's commands. Eggman suggested that there was a random mutation in the code of the metal virus due to its spread. Starline thought that Eggman had taken this possibility into account, but he stated that he would correct all the errors after the distribution was complete. Starline objected that the virus could get out of control, but Eggman bluntly replied that he would find a way to control it. After Eggman left for lunch, Starline shared his doubts about Eggman with Orbot. He believed that Sonic had always defeated him because of his supernatural strength, but now it seemed that Eggman was losing because of his carelessness and inability to plan ahead. Orbot replied that it was always 50/50 for the doctor: the usual routine began with Eggman plotting and ended with Sonic defeating him. This made Starline sad.

Starline saw Metal Sonic in his lab aboard the Faceship and asked him to leave. He complained that Eggman's greatest creation prowled his room like a zombie. Starline watched the spread of the Metal Virus around the world through his warp portals. However, in one of them, he saw Dr. Eggman, who was screaming in a rage. Starline rushed to help his mentor, but crashed into him and several cardboard boxes. Eggman explained that he could not find the switch that his robot had installed on the other side of the room. Turning on the lights, Eggman showed Starline his "Egg Cave" - a personal shelter where he rests in his free days, collects figurines, works on personal projects and develops new strategies. Eggman then began playing with figures depicting himself and his enemies, and went into more detail about his weekends. Starline praised the figures for their detail, but reminded him that today Eggman will tell him about his plans for the future. Eggman explained that soon all his enemies would turn into zombiebots and serve him. While Starline was looking at the various figures, he came across one depicting himself as a zombie. After an awkward silence, Eggman took the statuette from him and asked him to knock next time, stating that everything that happened in Eggman's Cave remained in Eggman's Cave. Then Starline, a little disheartened, left the place.

In response, Eggman told Starline that by dropping the Metal Virus in several localities, the zombiebots he created would quickly spread the virus, which hit Starline. Eventually, upon arriving at the Windmill Village, Eggman infected the entire village with a single batch of Metal Virus released from the Faceship. Starline was moved to tears by this act, and he apologized to Eggman for doubting him. When Eggman replies that he just likes theme parks, Starline remarks that his resources could be used more efficiently. In response, Eggman explains that he is simply making the world the way he wants it to be because he is not satisfied with what it is: if he wants his enemies' last moments to be devoted to entertainment, he will do it. Starline, in turn, found these words inspiring.

Starline later discovered that the base in Echo Mine was back online and that Sonic and Amy Rose had entered Eggnet from there. After reporting this to Eggman, Starline was very concerned that Eggman didn't seem to care, but Eggman explained that he should get used to such situations, and prepared to send Raph and Tumble after the heroes with a tank and backpacks filled with a metal virus. While watching the skunks and hedgehogs fight over the surveillance, Starline and Eggman saw Raph and Tumble unwittingly spread the Metal Virus to themselves, turning into zombiebots. Although Raph and Tumble were trapped in a pit of garbage, Starline was pleased with the result, as they managed to infect Sonic with the Metal Virus. When Starline asked what would happen next, Eggman replied that it was time to share the Metal Virus with the world. Climbing aboard the new Faceship, designed to spread the Metal Virus, Starline couldn't help but be surprised at how quickly Eggman assembled it. After Eggman explained how he did it, the doctor ordered Faceship to take off with him, Starline, Orbot, and Kubot on board. As they made their way to their first target, Eggman gave Starline a tour of the Face Ship, showing him the ship's power generator (which contained the seven Chaos Emeralds), the observation deck, and the Metal Virus factory. Meanwhile, Eggman boasted about the Zombot army he would command, which would allow him to carry out any project and conquer other worlds and dimensions. Starline supported Eggman's idea, but noted that the Metal Virus would not be able to cover the entire planet.

Upon arriving at Silver's house, Starline told him about Eggman's base at Frozen Peak in order to lure Sonic into a trap and then disappeared. While Starline was at this base, his belongings, which he believed to be collectibles from Eggman's legacy, were moved through a Warp Topaz portal with the help of several bad guys who were protected by Metal Sonic. When Sonic and Silver came to fight Metal Sonic, Starline rescued the robot when it was in a pinch. Starline then introduced himself to Sonic and stated that this meeting was set up so that he could test himself against Sonic. His fanatale behavior infuriated Silver. After Starline revealed that he had restored Eggman's memory and identity at Sonic's request, Sonic and Silver attempted to fight him and Metal Sonic. However, with the help of his Warp Topaz, Starline was able to transport Sonic and Silver to the other side of the mountain. After Metal Sonic was sure that everything was ready, Starline let him through the Warp Topaz portal. But before he could join him, Sonic caught up with Starline, immobilized him, and demanded to tell him about Eggman. Pretending to be defeated, Starline tricked Silver into entering the base with a code that was supposed to detonate the bomb. When Starline revealed his plan, a distraught Sonic burst into the base to stop Silver, and apparently got caught in an explosion. While Starline was delighted with his triumph, he himself was sucked into a Warp Topaz portal that he had opened in Eggman's laboratory. Eggman angrily chastised Starline for trying to kill Sonic, which he considered his privilege. An apologetic Starline was released by Eggman, who revealed that Sonic and Silver miraculously survived. After Starline told the curious Eggman about the reasons why he kept the contents of his base on Frozen Peak, he admitted that the experience "allowed him to look at a lot of things in a new way" when asked what impression Eggman had 🦔🔵 made on him

Following Eggman's directions after he advised him to deal with Sonic, Starline sent a letter to Tails using the Topaz of Destruction to lure Sonic into the arms of Rough and Tumble. After reporting this to Eggman, Starline asked why it was necessary to act so openly, to which Eggman replied that it was a subtle hint. Pleased with this, Starline saw Eggman begin testing his new metal virus. After seeing him turn a flower into metal, Starline helped Eggman test it on animals. Eggman later concluded that his "Metal Virus" was working after seeing that he was turning flora and fauna into robotic slaves by touching them, leaving processed and inorganic materials alone. Feeling emotional about their work together, Starline told Eggman about finding him with the Warp Topaz when Eggman asked him about it. Starline then used his Warp Topaz to show Eggman Sonic and Tails' battle with Raph and Tumble. When the skunk brothers began to lose, Starline decided that they would continue testing the Metal Virus since they had so little data on it. However, to his surprise, Eggman decided to use it in the next phase of his plan. Despite his objections, Starline complied. Soon after, Starline sent Raph and Tumble back to the base with the Warp Topaz before Raph reported on Eggman. When Metal Sonic offered to fight Sonic after the failure of Rough and Tumble, Starline suggested that he fight Sonic, whom he knew to be peeled off.

Starline and Eggman soon discovered that the biographical data that Neo Metal Sonic had copied from Sonic and Shadow had been corrupted. Starline offered to renovate, but Eggman declined, deciding to move on to a new plan. Since Eggman needed time to test and prepare, the doctor instructed Starline to distract Sonic. Starline gladly took on this task, because he knew exactly how to lure Sonic into a trap.

Soon, Dr. Starline used the Warp Topaz to transport Eggman, Raph, and Tumble to his base in the Last Egg. Ignoring the amnesiac Eggman's pleas, Starline began administering electric shocks using special goggles. Later, after completing the first stage of Eggman's "procedure," Starline asked him if he was feeling better. After three sessions using neurostimulators and aggressive hypnotherapy, Starline noticed that Eggman gravitated only to his old inventions, not his former self. When Raph and Tumble began to grow angry at Starline for not fulfilling his end of the bargain, he assured them he could restore Eggman's memories, suggesting that a mental trigger might be necessary. Soon after, the group encountered a heavily damaged Metal Sonic as he arrived at the Last Egg. Upon seeing Metal Sonic, Eggman remembered everything, much to Starline's delight. Starline then introduced himself as a fan of Eggman's work and helped him repair Metal Sonic. He also introduced Eggman to Raph and Tumble, whom Eggman initially disliked until Starline mentioned their hatred of Sonic, which could prove to be a great asset, and offered to use them as weapons against him. Meanwhile, Starline managed to briefly recount to Eggman everything that had happened while the doctor was unconscious: his arrival in a remote mountain village, Starline's methods for restoring Eggman, and the power of his Topaz. Although Eggman showed no interest in the Topaz, Starline had anticipated this and presented him with the seven Chaos Emeralds he had acquired as an "applicant application." This impressed Eggman, and he officially accepted Starline as his new servant.

According to Starline, ever since Doctor Eggman began his conquest of Earth, he admired the doctor for his intelligence, tenacity, and charisma. Because of this, Starline dedicated himself to robotics and the pursuit of arcane powers. Whenever he hit a dead end in his research, he would ask himself, "What would Eggman do?" Starline eventually made a career out of studying Doctor Eggman. He also dedicated his career to studying Warp Topaz, a stone capable of bending time and space to open gateways to other worlds. At some point, Starline managed to obtain Warp Topaz. Upon discovering it, he realized that Warp Topaz reacts strongly to even the most passive energy waves. Upon further study, he discovered that Warp Topaz requires a power source to recharge, but any charge exceeding its permissible level results in extreme reality alterations. Because warp portals were difficult to create and direct, the components of his homemade left gauntlet were crafted after countless hours of meticulous testing, but this proved insufficient to prevent the power of the warp topaz from damaging his hand. At some point, he also managed to collect all seven Chaos Emeralds. After learning that Doctor Eggman had disappeared after the Eggman War, Starline used his warp topaz to open "windows" into the world, allowing him to find Eggman in record time. Feeling ill from lack of sleep, Starline found an amnesiac Eggman in Windmill Village. To help him bring Eggman back, Starline decided to enlist the help of Raph Skunk and Tumble Skunk. She broke the brothers out of prison and told them that if they helped kidnap Eggman from Windmill Village, he would create a weapon that would help them get revenge on Sonic.

Dr. Starline was an anthropomorphic platypus with white fur covering most of his body. His beak was dark gray, narrow, with nostrils at the front, and his eyes were red with pale yellow sclera, black eyelids, and a thick tail similar to Knuckles's. He had three thick tufts of hair on his head, combed to the right side. The front tuft was a brownish-gray tint. Starline wore a purple satin shirt with gold cufflinks, a red-violet vest, and orange pince-nez glasses. On his left hand, he wore a brown glove with a gold inlay and gold fingertips. A dark brown ring was visible on the palm of the glove. After the Planet Reclaim War, Starline found an amnesiac Eggman and helped him regain his memories. He then served as his assistant during the Metal Virus pandemic, but was fired when he saw Eggman's shortcomings. Choosing a new career path, Starline decided to conquer the world for Eggman, honing his technique and earning his recognition. However, Starline soon realized he could surpass Eggman and decided to rule the world himself as his worthy replacement. He then transformed two humans into Surge the Tenrec and Fennec Whale, recreated in the likenesses of Sonic and Miles "Tails" Prower, with whom he intended to replace the world's heroes in order to manipulate the hero-versus-villain dynamic from behind the scenes. After returning to its normal form, Mimic showed no remorse for its misdeeds, rejecting the Diamond Cutters as a means to an end; its "loyalty" to them lasted only as long as the profit outweighed the risk to its life. After declaring friendship a sign of weakness, it assumed Jewel's form and allowed Tangle to attack. After some initial hesitation, she did so, but Mimic overpowered her, intending to use her form to get closer to Whisper. As it was about to kill Tangle with its dagger, Whisper appeared and disarmed it with Wispon's Cube Variable Mode. Mimic reminded its former partner, Blue Wisp, of its species' abhorrence of violence, causing him to leave Variable Wisp in shame. However, Whisper persisted, engaging Mimic in a brief but brutal battle. The octopus briefly gained the upper hand and aimed his own Wisp at Whisper, but this gave Tangle the opportunity to wrap him in her tail and slam him into the table. Mimic tried to break free, transforming into Smithy, Eggman, and even Vector the Crocodile, but Tangle's coils were too powerful, and his Blue Wisp watched in frustration as Whisper pinned him to the point of contact.

Instead, Whisper snatched the gun from his hand and stood over him while he complimented her marksmanship. When Whisper demanded to know where Tangle was, Mimic instead taunted her, began transforming into other Diamond Cutters, and told her she wasn't there to protect them. Whisper initially hesitated, but then dug in her heels and punched Mimic, reminding him that he was the one who betrayed them. Mimic thus revealed that Tangle was locked in a safe, but he had also planted some bombs in the bunker. Knowing she couldn't leave her friend, Whisper ran after the lemur while Mimic exited the bunker. He locked the entrance, reverted to his original form, bid the wolf goodbye, and left. Mimic later returned to the scene of the explosion to provide Eggman with concrete evidence that Tangle and Whisper had been killed. Finding an empty safe, Mimic followed his trail to a small ditch etched with the words "We End This Where We Started." Realizing what this meant, Mimic asked Eggman for backup, and he was provided with a horde of Badniks while he tracked the girls to the former Diamond Cutters' base in the Clove Sea. While Whisper dealt with the Badniks, Mimic slipped into the base and disguised himself as Sonic again, intending to ambush his enemies under the guise of helping them fight his doppelganger. However, Tangle and Whisper anticipated Mimic's plan and set a trap of their own. Feigning succumb to the disguise, Tangle offered to show "Sonic" the trap they had set for Mimic, leading him to a break room where masks of deceased diamond cutters hung on the wall. Mimic's confusion over the "trap" prompted Tangle to activate his masks, playing footage of Smithy, Slinger, Claire, and even Whisper praising their comrade for his past work. When she asked him if it was worth betraying them, Mimic realized Tangle had figured him out.

Later, in the Eggman Empire's bunker, Mimic planted bombs throughout the facility and watched as Tangle and Whisper approached. Mimic wanted to confront the wolf alone, but decided the duo would get in their own way and thus transform into Jewel. He soon called out to her for help in the voice of his former best friend, then transformed into Whisper. Tangle confronted him, thinking he was the wolf, and wondered how Jewel had gotten inside if she had stayed in Spiral Hill. Mimic theorized that Jewel had been kidnapped after they left the museum. Mimic led Tangle to a safe, where he claimed Jewel was being used as bait. As soon as the lemur faced the safe, Mimic kicked her in and locked her. He then transformed into Tangle and walked toward Whisper. He feigned fear from the wolf's shifting whispers, and she asked him to prove she was the real Tangle. Lemur showed her a cut on his shirt, claiming Mimic had lured her in by shapeshifting into Jewel, and that he had later attempted to attack her. After Whisper seemingly accepted this story, Tangle led her to where Mimic had supposedly fled. Mimic instead activated a device wielding a wrecking ball and used it to attack Whisper. Whisper managed to defend herself and destroyed the device with her variable Wispon missile mode. As the Super Badnik fell, Mimic jumped down and threw a bomb towards Whisper. She managed to dodge it, prompting Mimic to use his laser pistol to shoot her.

Whisper & Tangle: After Doctor Eggman regained his memory and discovered Whisper was still alive, he ordered Mimic to finish the job properly or face consequences. Mimic decided to try to lure Whisper by wreaking havoc with his Sonic the Hedgehog shapeshifters. This included graffiti, stealing candy from babies, and harassing Chao. When they came face to face, Whisper discovered Mimic had targeted not only her but also Tangle the Lemur. After Whisper overpowered him, she chased Mimic to Spiral Hill Village while he continued his façade. While Mimic fled, Whisper attempted to snipe him from the rooftops, but Mimic used his Sonic form to talk to a startled villager, so he would get in the way of Whisper's shot. Mimic soon tried to crawl away, but was unexpectedly confronted by Tangle, who wanted to know why the wolf was shooting at him. Seeing an opportunity, Mimic told the lemur that Eggman had placed a mind-control chip in Whisper's mask, causing her to go on a rampage, and he couldn't bring himself to hurt her. So Tangle took it upon herself to stop Whisper, leaving Mimic satisfied. Soon, the wolf took aim at Mimic again, only for him to show her a sinister grin. As soon as the lemur took Whisper, Mimic left the scene. After a commotion between them, Tangle and Whisper headed to the mineral museum, and Mimic watched them leave in the guise of the villager he'd spoken to earlier. Soon after, he went to the mineral museum and watched as Whisper talked about him and the lemur and about his former friend, Jewel. He then left a note for the she-wolf on the museum door, asking her to meet him so they could end this once and for all.

Mimic was formerly a member of the Diamond Cutters, an elite team of mercenaries against Eggman, serving as their infiltrator. His companion was a Blue Wisp. During one mission at Eggman's base, Smithy, Slinger, and Claire Voyance pretended to be captured by Mimic after it transformed into an Eggpawn. After they managed to trick the guarding Eggpawn, Claire sensed a formation of Badniks at the far end of the base and two more hidden inside. After causing enough damage, Mimic created an exit from the facility with his Blue Wisp. Later, at the beginning of the Eggman War, Mimic secretly betrayed the Diamond Cutters and joined Dr. Eggman. He brought a plan to the Diamond Cutters to destroy the doctor's base, which would cause a blackout among his forces along the coastline. Although he insisted that everyone be on the field for the mission, Whisper the wolf still chose to stay. At Eggman's base, which the team had decided to destroy, the Cutters encountered no Resistance team. Claire attempted to use her powers but felt nothing, figuring Eggman must have been emitting alpha waves somewhere to block her powers. After Smithy sent Mimic to scout out an ambush, he, Slinger, and Claire moved forward. Mimic secretly went to Eggman, who was at the base and watched as his teammates were killed by Shadow androids in a locked room. Eggman then forgave Mimic for his crimes against him. Enraged by what had happened, Mimic's Blue Wisp abandoned him. After Eggman discovered Whisper hadn't been killed, he sent Mimic to finish the job. Mimic went outside to try to lure out the wounded Slinger. He failed to find her, but he found her Wisp. He decided to use it, like his mask, as proof that he had killed her.

Mimic has the ability to transform into anyone, allowing it to impersonate others. While it may look nearly identical to the person it transforms into, noticeable differences include brown eyes and darker shades of fur, skin, and clothing (for robots, it simply transforms into a darker shade of their normal color scheme). The suction cups on its hands and feet are also still visible when it changes shape, even when wearing gloves and shoes. It is also able to blend its true appearance with the forms it assumes. While it can mimic anyone's appearance, Mimic cannot replicate abilities (such as Sonic's speed) or weapons (such as Wolfsbane's variable Wispon) with its shapeshifting. It has also demonstrated some tracking abilities, as it was able to determine that the tracks of a lemur and her friend were intentionally leading it somewhere. When he was a member of the Diamond Cutters, Mimic wore a mask that served as a means of long-range communication and also gave him the ability to understand the Wisp language. The mask also had a built-in camera connected to a network, allowing his teammates to observe and view missions from his perspective. He also used a Cube Wisp, powered by his blue companion. Mimic will utilize both its offensive and utility functions during missions. Mimic is known to wield combat knives with serrated backs. His proficiency with them is unknown. Mimic can be described as a sinister, manipulative, ruthless, and cruel sociopath with little respect for anyone but himself, as he is known for always pursuing wealth and prestige. An example of his sociopathic tendencies can be seen when he assumed the form of Tangle and the first generation of Diamond Cutters to torture Whisper while Tangle herself was captured. He doesn't believe in lofty ideals, claiming that heroes become martyrs while professionals remain alive. He is also extremely cunning and devious, taking pleasure in deceiving others and betraying those he associates with if it suits his purposes. He is not afraid of killing, as he attempted to kill Starline in his sleep and nearly slit his throat. However, he also has a streak of cowardice. He dislikes causing much drama, relying on tactics to undermine and deceive others into doing what he wants, and he fears those stronger than him, such as Metal Sonic. He is an anthropomorphic mimic octopus and a mercenary with the ability to shapeshift and was formerly a member of the Diamond Cutters but later joined Doctor Eggman. He is now an enemy of Whisper the Wolf.
This is a purple anthropomorphic Mimic octopus. It has a large, drooping head with six small protrusions on top and four long tentacles that extend from its head almost to its ankles. Suction cups can be seen on both its arms and legs. Mimic has white eyes with black sclera and a light gray muzzle with wrinkles near the mouth and black markings just above it, giving its face the appearance of a skull. This is done intentionally, using its color-shifting abilities to try to appear more terrifying. It wears a small gray cape with sleeves and gray leg warmers made of the same thin fabric, all tattered. As a member of the Diamond Cutters, Mimic's skin was white and had no markings on its muzzle. Its attire matched that of its teammates. He wore a dark gray long-sleeved top under a raincoat, dark gray gloves with light gray suction cups on the palms and fingers, and gray military-style boots with dark gray socks.
