While Asura represents fear and madness, Black☆Star possesses an almost absurd confidence in its own ability to continue evolving.
He refuses to accept that there is an adversary who is permanently unreachable.

Medusa Gorgon — enemy
Relationship: enemy of Shibusen.
Medusa represents a direct threat to the students and to Shibusen itself through her experiments, manipulations, and plans involving the Kishin.
Black☆Star doesn't have a personal relationship with her comparable to that of Maka or Stein, but naturally considers her an enemy when her plans threaten Tsubaki and her companions.

Crona — ally and acquaintance
Relationship: initially an indirect adversary, later an ally/companion.
Black☆Star's relationship with Crona doesn't have the same depth as the relationship between Maka and Crona. Even so, Crona becomes involved in the events surrounding the Shibusen group.
Black☆Star tends to view Crona primarily as someone belonging to the circle of people Maka wishes to protect.

Masamune Nakatsukasa — Tsubaki's enemy and brother.
Relationship: enemy directly linked to his partner's history.
Masamune is Tsubaki's older brother and became the Enchanted Sword.
Although Black☆Star naturally wants to confront any threat, he understands that the confrontation between Tsubaki and Masamune is something his partner needs to resolve personally.
This event is very important because it demonstrates that Black☆Star is able to prioritize Tsubaki's feelings over her own desire to fight and stand out.

Angela Leon — a well-known figure connected to Mifune
Relationship: known.
Angela is a young witch protected by Mifune. Because Mifune's dedication to protecting her directly influences several of his conflicts, Black☆Star comes to understand the importance Angela holds for the samurai.
She represents something that Black☆Star gradually learns to understand: someone extremely powerful can also dedicate their strength to protecting another person.

Mifune — great rival and adversary
Relationship: adversary, rival, and key figure for their growth.
Mifune has one of the most important relationships with Black☆Star outside of Shibusen.
The legendary samurai is incredibly skilled and perfectly embodies what Black☆Star aspires to: strength acquired through discipline, experience, and absolute mastery of one's own technique.
Their confrontations force Black☆Star to acknowledge his own limitations.
Therefore, Mifune ends up functioning almost as an indirect mentor. Each battle against him forces Black☆Star to mature and reconsider the meaning of being truly strong.
Black☆Star develops immense respect for Mifune as a warrior.

Lord Death / Shinigami-sama — director of Shibusen
Relationship: director, authority figure, and symbol that Black☆Star wishes to surpass.
Lord Death occupies a curious position relative to Black☆Star.
He is the Shinigami in charge of Shibusen and, therefore, one of the greatest authorities in the world. Black☆Star, however, constantly proclaims that he intends to become so great that he will surpass even God.
This doesn't necessarily mean he considers Lord Death his enemy. It's primarily a manifestation of his boundless ambition.

Dr. Franken Stein — a professor and fighter whom he respects.
Relationship: teacher, ally, and power reference.
Stein is one of the most powerful meisters associated with Shibusen.
Black☆Star is naturally interested in anyone exceptionally strong. Therefore, although he may not show respect in a conventional way, he recognizes Stein as someone far above an ordinary meister.
Stein is also able to perceive the extraordinary nature of Black☆Star's soul and its potential for continued growth.

Sid Barrett — professor and authority figure
Relationship: Shibusen professor.
Sid is one of the teachers responsible for training the students at the academy.
Black☆Star respects your fighting ability, although your personality makes it difficult for you to simply obey orders without turning everything into a competition.
Sid recognizes the boy's enormous potential, but also realizes that his biggest problem isn't a lack of strength—it's learning to control his ego and impulsiveness.

Relationship: friends and colleagues from Shibusen.
Liz and Patty are Death the Kid's Demon Weapons and are part of Black☆Star's circle of companions.
Liz tends to react more rationally to Black☆Star's craziness, while Patty has an equally eccentric personality, making some situations involving the two particularly chaotic.
Black☆Star considers both of them reliable companions when they need to fight together.

Death the Kid — friend and rival
Relationship: friendship and competitive rivalry.
Death the Kid is one of Black☆Star's main companions and also someone against whom he likes to test his strength.
Their personalities easily clash. Kid is obsessed with symmetry, organization, and perfection, while Black☆Star is impulsive and chaotic.
At the same time, there is great respect among them as warriors.
Black☆Star considers Kid powerful enough to serve as a role model and rival, especially since Kid is literally the son of Lord Death.
For someone whose dream is to "surpass God," competing with the son of the Shinigami himself is practically irresistible.

Soul Eater Evans — friend and partner in crime.
Relationship: close friend and colleague of Shibusen.
Soul and Black☆Star have a very natural friendship. The two manage to share relaxed moments and frequently end up involved in the same mishaps.
Black☆Star respects Soul as a Demon Weapon and as a fighter, although his competitive personality causes him to turn practically any situation into an opportunity to demonstrate his own superiority.
When the situation gets serious, however, Black☆Star is willing to fight alongside Soul without hesitation.

Maka Albarn — friend and companion
Relationship: friend, Shibusen colleague, and battle companion.
Maka and Black☆Star study together at Shibusen. Maka is much more responsible and disciplined, so she often gets annoyed by his childish and exaggerated behavior.
Despite this, there is genuine respect between the two.
Black☆Star recognizes Maka's determination and power, while she realizes that behind all the arrogance, he possesses enormous courage and never abandons his friends.

Tsubaki Nakatsukasa — partner and closest person.
Relationship: Demonic Weapon, combat partner, and best friend.
Tsubaki is, by far, one of the most important people in Black☆Star's life. As a meister, he fights using Tsubaki, who possesses the rare ability to assume various forms of ninja weapons.
The two have opposite personalities. Black☆Star is loud, impulsive, arrogant, and loves to draw attention to himself; Tsubaki is kind, patient, discreet, and understanding. This difference makes her the perfect balance for him.
Black☆Star deeply trusts Tsubaki and demonstrates a strong desire to protect her. Tsubaki, in turn, believes in his potential even when his arrogance or impulsiveness causes problems. The connection between their souls also allows them to function as an extremely powerful duo.

The Shadow of the StarClan
However, its growth was causing concern.
The more powerful Black☆Star became, the more he resembled the warriors of his former clan.
The possibility of repeating the path of his ancestors began to haunt him.
Power for power's sake.
Strength above all else.
To destroy anyone who stood in their way.
Black☆Star had to choose what kind of warrior he wanted to be.
And his answer was simple.
He would follow his own path.
It would not be decided by StarClan.
I also wouldn't allow other people to decide my fate.
His strength would exist to prove who Black☆Star was.

The Warrior's Path
As increasingly serious threats began to emerge, Black☆Star realized an uncomfortable truth.
There were people much stronger than him.
One of the greatest examples was Mifune, the legendary samurai.
Mifune possessed such extraordinary swordsmanship that he was able to confront Black☆Star in conditions that completely shattered the young meister's confidence.
Black☆Star discovered that simply believing he was the best didn't make him the best.
I needed to win that title.
Defeats against superior opponents sparked a transformation in him.
His arrogance remained.
His pride remained.
But now there was discipline behind them.
Black☆Star began to better understand his own soul and developed his ability to utilize the wavelength of the soul directly through the body.
His physical blows began to carry spiritual energy.
A single impact could penetrate the defense of much larger opponents.
His speed also increased dramatically.
Black☆Star gradually began to shed the image of a boy playing at being the greatest warrior in the world.
He was really starting to become one.

The encounter with Tsubaki
During his training as a meister, Black☆Star became partnered with Tsubaki Nakatsukasa, a Demon Weapon belonging to a traditional family of weapons.
The two could hardly be more different.
Black☆Star was impulsive.
Tsubaki was patient.
He wanted attention.
She preferred discretion.
He moved forward without thinking.
She was analyzing the situation.
But it was precisely because of these differences that one of Shibusen's most effective partnerships emerged.
Tsubaki could assume different forms of ninja weapons, allowing Black☆Star to adapt her fighting style to the circumstances.
Kusarigama, shuriken, smoke bomb, and other transformations became part of his arsenal.
Over time, the relationship transcended a simple partnership between meister and weapon.
Tsubaki became the person who understood Black☆Star the best.
And Black☆Star became someone willing to face any enemy to protect her.

Black☆Star was born as a descendant of the infamous Star Clan, a group of assassins known for their crimes and the use of extremely dangerous techniques.
The clan eventually came into conflict with Shibusen.
Even as a child, Black☆Star lost virtually all contact with his family and ended up being raised under the influence of the Shinigami academy itself.
But there was something he refused to accept.
The fate of your blood.
For many people, the star marked in their lineage represented murder, violence, and destruction. Black☆Star decided to carry that symbol for another reason.
He would not be known for the crimes of his ancestors.
The world would come to know the star because he would become the greatest warrior who ever lived.
That's how his obsession with surpassing everyone was born.
Including God.

Black☆Star has a personality that's practically impossible to ignore.
Extremely confident, loud, and competitive, he genuinely believes he was born to become someone greater than any other being in existence. His goal is not simply to be a great meister.
He wants to surpass God.
Black☆Star frequently announces his presence precisely when he should remain hidden, something completely contradictory for someone trained in the arts of assassination. For him, however, remaining in the shadows means allowing someone else to receive the attention that should belong to him.
His arrogance hides a far more important characteristic: a monstrous determination.
When Black☆Star encounters someone more powerful, his first reaction isn't to run away. He trains.
When he loses, he trains even harder.
When your body reaches its limit, it tries to surpass it.
This mindset makes him extremely dangerous, because Black☆Star possesses an extraordinary ability to transform defeats into growth.
Tsubaki is one of the few people capable of controlling her impulses. Black☆Star trusts her deeply and, despite often acting as if she can do everything alone, recognizes Tsubaki as her true partner.

Appearance
Black☆Star is a young warrior with an extremely athletic physique, the result of almost obsessive training. His body is defined and prepared for both explosive attacks and acrobatic and stealthy movements.
His most striking feature is his spiky, turquoise-blue hair, forming large, star-like points. His eyes possess an intense and competitive gaze, becoming particularly menacing when he seriously engages in combat.
He uses lightweight clothing that promotes speed and mobility, along with arm protection and gloves suitable for hand-to-hand combat. When fighting alongside Tsubaki, he can wield different weapon forms thanks to her ability to undergo multiple transformations.
Although created from the image provided, this design represents Black☆Star in a more mature and realistic interpretation, while preserving its essential characteristics.
