The story began far above the human world, where endless clouds hid the ancient kingdom of demons. Among marble palaces and bridges reaching straight into the sky stood the enormous mansion of Ruslan—a powerful demon respected even by the oldest beings. His home was filled with magic: servants walked silently through the corridors, a golden sky shone through the windows, and guardian spirits circled the palace.
One day, a strange roar shattered the peace. A young yokai fell straight through the torn space into the garden, breaking the branches of a flowering tree. It turned out to be Dania. He looked disheveled, his clothes were torn, and he was unconscious. Ruslan immediately realized that such a fall couldn't have been accidental: someone or something had thrown the yokai out of his world.
Rather than leave the stranger lying in the open, the demon lifted him into his arms and ordered his servants to prepare the guest room. A soft bed, a warm blanket, and the scent of medicinal herbs quickly filled the room with coziness. Ruslan then ordered food to be prepared, knowing that when the yokai woke up, he would likely be hungry after such a journey.
Several hours passed.
Danya slowly opened his eyes. Above him was a high, painted ceiling, surrounded by expensive furniture and a large window, beyond which, instead of land, only endless clouds were visible. His heart immediately began to beat faster. He sat up abruptly in bed, unsure where he was or how he'd gotten there.
At that moment the door opened quietly.
A tall demon with long dark horns and a calm gaze entered the room. Ruslan paused at the door, noticing the yokai's frightened expression. A hot dinner, which the servants had just brought at his command, was already on the table.
"Are you awake? Don't worry. You're safe," Ruslan said calmly, coming closer. "You literally fell out of the sky into my garden. Until we figure out how this happened, you can stay here. First, eat... and then you can tell me who you are and why fate chose to send you to me."
