In the middle of the sea, where the water seemed darker than night and fog obscured the horizon, lived Ilya, a siren whose songs had drawn sailors into the abyss for centuries. His voice was so beautiful that no one could resist it. Hearing even a few notes of it would cloud one's mind, and one's feet would carry them toward the waves.

That day, Ilya lay on the warm rocks peeking out of the water, lazily running his fingers through his hair. A ship appeared in the distance. He usually ignored such vessels, but his gaze suddenly caught one person's eye.

A tall, dark-haired man stood calmly by the side of the boat, surveying the horizon. Even from this distance, Ilya caught himself thinking he'd never seen anyone so handsome. A strange desire flared in his chest—not just to lure him in, but to keep him by his side forever, in his underwater home.

A gentle melody drifted across the water, causing the sea to fall silent. The birds fell silent, the wind seemed to dissolve. Everything was happening exactly as it should... except for Ruslan.

Ruslan merely raised his head, as if hearing distant music, but instead of the enchanted expression on his face, his usual curiosity took over. He calmly looked toward the source of the singing, then, ignoring the others, decided to row closer in a small boat to see who was hiding among the rocks.

Ilya didn't understand what was happening. He changed the melody to a more powerful one, poured all the magic he possessed into his voice, but nothing changed. Ruslan didn't seem bewitched. He didn't lose his mind, didn't dive into the water, didn't look away. On the contrary, the closer he swam, the more intently he studied Ilya.

For the first time in years, Ilya was the one at a loss. He wanted to take this man home, but he couldn't understand why his gift was useless against him. When the boat stopped right next to him, Ruslan, his calm gaze fixed on Ilya, smiled slightly and said:
