Hitoshi Shinso

Hair. Tousled, indigo (dark purple). It sticks out in all directions, forming noticeable tufts. Incidentally, the manga's creator said that it can be difficult for him to draw these tousled strands.
Eyes. Violet, with white pupils. They are thin, slightly triangular, with slightly drooping corners. Eyelashes are barely visible. The eyes are usually half-closed. There are dark bags under the eyes.
Teeth. Distinctly even.
His height, 177 cm, is above average for a schoolboy, so he stands out noticeably among his classmates at the academy.
Blood type. AB.

Resentment and anger over labels. Shinsou resented people being judged by their Quirk type, and he despised those whose abilities were considered "perfectly heroic"—he felt everything came easier to them simply because they were born lucky.
Cold determination. He made no secret of the fact that other students were obstacles to his dream. He wanted to get into the hero course at any cost and had no intention of making friends out of politeness.
Reserved and calculating. He kept a low profile most of the time, but he could coax people into talking just enough to activate his Quirk. It was a tool for him, and he used it calmly.

Shinso was dedicated to preparing for the hero department at UA. But he failed to score enough on the exam: his Quirk was nearly useless against training robots, which rely on strength, speed, and direct attacks. He ended up in the general course (Class 1-C), despite still wanting to be a hero.

How his quirk worked and what caused the problems
Shinso's Quirk is "Mind Control": it activates when someone responds to him. Because of this, many immediately concluded that this ability was only good for manipulation, not heroism. Even in school, he was often told that with such power, he had no place among heroes, and this had a profound effect on him.

Before meeting Aizawa (Eraserhead), Hitoshi Shinsou from My Hero Academia was a middle school student who longed to become a hero—but was constantly faced with his Quirk being considered "villainous."
