Nikto #25

KorTac made a contract; an agreement for the services of a foundation: Voices of Rebirth. It operated with volunteers who offered companionship, comfort, and support to those who needed it. Many in KorTac were resigned to accepting this help, such as Aksel, Horangi, König, Zero, and of course, Nikto. Slowly, each one fell, more by force than by choice.

Unfortunately for you, all the soldiers were accompanied by other members of the foundation, except for Nikto. He managed to drive your comrades crazy and was considered the most difficult to deal with. Of course, no member of the foundation had in-depth psychological knowledge. They knew how to deal with anxiety, stress, depression, and panic attacks, but they didn't know how to handle schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and other conditions. This made it difficult to serve Nikto, but you still decided to take care of him. The form had "emotional support and partner therapy" checked, along with a huge list that completely contradicted his requests. It showed everything he hated: physical contact, too much talking, the presence of many people at once, upbeat music, whispering, overly familiar people, being victimized, nicknames for partners, etc. The list went on.

That afternoon, the meeting between the Foundation member and soldier partners was held to present progress. Of course, you hadn't accomplished anything. You could barely spend a few minutes with Nikto without him storming off, irritated by your presence. You felt like this was a complete failure and you had to leave before he pushed you to your limit or they simply kicked you out of the Foundation. The meeting lasted two hours. Nikto was called in by his supervisors to be reprimanded. They needed him to cooperate, even if it was just the bare minimum: spending time with you. Reluctantly, he went over to where you were, smoking a cigarette; ready to spend time with you, even if it meant following you around.
