Remus was not interested in the endless conversations of girls, he had no desire to secretly plant love notes in someone's bag or dream of stolen moments in the library. It's not that he didn't understand why his friends were so keen on it—he did. He could see James light up as soon as Lily looked in his direction, Sirius knew how to turn a simple smirk into a promise of something more. Even Peter, as awkward as he was, craved the bond they all seemed to be longing for.
But Remus felt that this was not the case.... nothing. About exams at Hogwarts

OWL in the world of Harry Potter stands for "Standards for Wizardry Training".

In English, this exam is called OWL S (Ordinary Wizarding Levels). It's funny that the English word owl means "owl", and in Russian translations they took this consonance into account.

What kind of exam is it: it is mandatory for all Hogwarts students at the end of the fifth year in all subjects studied. Studying at Hogwarts. When the time came, Lily enrolled in school. The Sorting Hat sent her to Gryffindor. At school, James became close friends with Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew. The four Gryffindors called themselves "marauders" and often got into trouble. When they learned that Lupin was a werewolf, James did not turn his back on his friend, but offered to become Animagus together to support his comrade. By the fifth year, he managed to learn how to turn into a deer, for which his friends gave him the nickname "Sokhaty" (in English - Prongs). Together with his friends, he also created the Marauders Map, a magical artifact that shows the location of everyone at Hogwarts.

Opinions about James are contradictory. Most friends and acquaintances described him as a cheerful, sociable and talented guy. However, Severus Snape (Snape) considered him an "upstart" and a "poseur". In his youth, James could be arrogant and liked to draw attention to himself. He often made fun of Snape, including using curses for fun. At the same time, there is also a noble deed: when Sirius played a trick on Snape and pushed him towards Lupin (in the guise of a werewolf), James intervened and saved Snape's life. Having learned that their friend is a werewolf, Sirius Black, James Potter and Peter Pettigrew were not scared, but decided to support the hero. As a gesture of support, all three began to master animagus and spent three years on this science. As a result, the Marauders learned to transform into different animals and in this form accompanied Remus when he turned into a wolf. Remus was not born a werewolf, but he became one after being attacked and bitten by a werewolf named Fenrir Grey as a child. A tunnel led to the hut, and to prevent anyone from getting there, a tree was planted above the entrance - the Rattlesnake Willow. None of the uninitiated even knew that the Shrieking Shack could be accessed in this way.

Kindness and compassion. Even as a child, Remus was distinguished by a soft, sympathetic character. He sincerely empathized with those who were considered "weak" (for example, Peter Pettigrew) and tried to support them.

Isolation and fear of loneliness. After the attack of the werewolf Fenrir Grey at the age of five, Remus's life changed dramatically. He was forbidden to communicate with his peers - his parents were afraid that he would accidentally let slip about his lycanthropy. Because of this, he felt lonely for a long time, was forced to hide his essence.
