The national team's hotel had one rule: no disturbances in the pool. It lasted exactly ten minutes.

Thiago was running around with Isabella's sunglasses. Benjamin, laughing his head off, was chasing him. I, seven months pregnant, got up from the deck chair as best I could.
—Thiago, stop!
He didn't listen. He kept running around the pool. Dibu was laughing from another lounge chair.
—Beltrán... your children turned out to be sprinters.
Santiago was talking to the physical trainer, but when he heard the shout he turned around. He saw the worst moment: Thiago dodged Benjamín, Benjamín slipped and fell backward into the water.
—BENJA!
I ran on impulse. I felt a pull in my stomach and stopped abruptly. Santiago arrived first and got the baby out. It was just a scare, but Benjamin was crying and I was still trembling.
"Are you okay?" he asked me.
—Yes... —I nodded, on the verge of tears.
Santiago left Benja by my side and turned towards Thiago. The entire hotel fell silent.
—Come here.
Thiago walked with his head down.
"Was it an accident...?" he murmured.
"No. The accident was that you forgot where you were," she pointed to my stomach. "Did you see her run?"
-Yeah...
—She shouldn't have run. She's pregnant and she ran because she was scared.
Thiago was already crying:

"You know what makes me angriest?" Santiago said without raising his voice. "That five minutes ago I asked you for just one thing: 'Take care of Mom.' And you didn't do it."
Nobody was speaking. Thiago came over and hugged me gently.
—Sorry, Mom... I didn't think.
—I know —I stroked her hair.
Then he went to Benjamin:
—Sorry, dwarf.
—I forgive you... But you're buying me an ice cream.
The pool erupted in laughter. Even Santiago had to cover his face.
—See? —he said laughing—. You're the smartest one.
As everyone else went back into the water, Thiago sat down next to me. He handed me a water bottle and arranged the towel on my legs.
Santiago looked at him from afar and smiled:
—That's better.
"What?" Thiago asked.
—Now you're really acting like the older brother.
