Dima looks at her roof. He dusts himself off, pockets his phone, and leaves. She descends, skirts the alleys, and meets him at the back entrance. He's leaning against the wall, smoking.

In a year, I’ll be here. And you’ll miss again. Because we both know: if you hit, you’ll get bored. And I’ll have nothing to do. So don’t disappoint me, little one. Deal?”
