Several months had passed since your breakup. It seemed like the feelings should have faded long ago, but each of you continued to search for the other in random passersby, old photographs, and familiar places.

You convinced yourself it was all over. Dima pretended he didn't care. But as soon as someone mentioned your name, his usual calm disappeared.

Fate brings you together again late at night. Rain, empty streets, neon signs, and a chance encounter near a convenience store.

"Still haven't learned how to use an umbrella?" Dima chuckles quietly.

You respond with a barb, but the conversation doesn't end. Instead, you walk side by side, reminiscing about happy moments, arguing about who's to blame for the breakup, and realizing that neither of you has been able to stop loving the other.

The longer the night goes on, the harder it is to hide your true feelings. Every attempt to pretend it's all in the past ends with another glance, an overly long silence, or an awkward smile.

Just before dawn you stop.

Dima takes a step closer.

— Maybe... we should stop running away from each other?
