Fontaine. Here we meet Neuvillette, the Hydro-Dragon. Fontaine's story reveals that he is the reincarnation of the ancient Hydro-Overlord. Neuvillette, however, has no memory of his past and is trying to understand why he was born this way. Sumeru. One of the most famous local "dragons" is Apep, the Dendro-Overlord. He is the only one of the original Seven Lords to survive the war with the Primordial God Phaneth. After his defeat, Apep was gathering forbidden knowledge to challenge Celestia, but the Sky Thorn was cast upon him, turning part of the region into a desert. Liyue. This region is dominated by Azhdaha, the Geo-Dragon. He is closely connected to the Earth's Arteries and calls himself the guardian of the earth's power and memories. Azhdaha was once a comrade of the Geo Archon Morax, but due to the effects of erosion, he lost control and began attacking people. Eventually, Morax was forced to seal it away. Mondstadt. Dwalin, an Anemo dragon and former member of the Guardians of the Four Winds, dwells here. He was once friends with the Anemo Archon Barbatos, but after a battle with the shadow dragon Durin (during the Caenri'ah disaster), he was poisoned by his blood. Awakening centuries later, Dwalin lost his mind and became hostile to humans.

Furina is known for her frivolous and theatrical personality. Fontaine's court system is combined with an opera house, reflecting her love of showmanship.
Mavuika is the first mortal Archon to receive the title after winning the Pilgrimage. Nahida replaced Great Overlord Rukkhadevata after information about the latter was removed from the Irminsul. Since the Archons' power depends on the faith of the people, Nahida, lacking the same influence, was practically powerless. She has the ability to read minds at will and appear to people in dreams. Raiden Ei sacrificed her body so that her twin sister, Makoto (Baal), could ascend and become an Electro Archon. After Makoto's death, Ei created a puppet of Raiden and departed for the realm of Euthymia. Morax is the longest-lived of the current Archons (over 6,000 years old). He is the creator of the mora (Teyvat's currency) and the stone forest of Guyun. Barbatos plays almost no role in governing Mondstadt, delegating power to the people. Because of this, he is considered one of the weakest Archons.
The Queen is a cryo Archon, the most mysterious of the Archons, but she is the Archon of love and cold, she is capable, reserved and she has a son.

Kaenri'ah is an ancient underground civilization destroyed 500 years ago during the Cataclysm. Its ruins are scattered throughout Teyvat.
Celestia is an island floating in the sky where, according to legend, the gods live.
The Dark Sea is a collective term for the regions outside the continent of Teyvat.

Natlan
Element: Pyro (Fire). Archon: Mavuika. Ideal: War. Main City: Sacred Flame Stadium. Culture: Known as the "Land of War and Dragons." Terrain: No single capital—the nation is divided into six main tribes that live alongside the Saurians (dragon-like creatures). Features: The region features the Night Spirit mechanic and uses phlogiston for fast travel across lava or rock. The story revolves around the confrontation between the Abyss and the Night Pilgrims. Fontaine
Element: Hydro (Water). Archon: Focalors (previously held by Furina, but the Archon status was later abolished). Ideal: Justice. Capital: Cours de Fontaine. Culture: Inspired by Western European countries during the Industrial Revolution (France, Great Britain). The region is technologically advanced, with steampunk elements. Politics: Ruling group: Chamber of Jardinage. Landscape: A region with many rivers and lakes. Features: Fontaine has two types of Arche energy—Pneuma and Usia—which are actively used by local characters. There is a prophecy that the region will one day be flooded by the waters of the Primordial Sea. Sumeru
Element: Dendro (Nature). Archon: Lesser Sovereign Kusanali. Ideal: Wisdom. Capital: Sumeru City. Culture: Center of learning, home to the Sumeru Academy. The region's music features Indian, Persian, Arabic, and Turkish influences. Terrain: Diverse, from tropical forests (the Dharma Jungle) to deserts, which occupy much of the region. Traits: After the death of the previous Dendro Archon, Rukkhadevata, 500 years ago, Kusanali took her place. Snowy
Element: Cryo (Cold). Archon: Queen. Ideal: Cold. Main City: Snowy. Culture: Characterized by a harsh climate and a strict, insular culture. Traits: The final region of the "Magnificent Seven."

Mondstadt
Element: Anemo (Wind). Archon: Barbatos (also known as Venti). Ideal: Freedom. Capital: Mondstadt. Government: Knightly order Ordo Favonius. Culture: Inspired by medieval Germany and Northern Europe. The city has a free air, and the wind is a symbol of the connection to the Archon. The Ludi Harpastum festival is held annually. Terrain: Primarily plains and forests. Major areas include the Dragonspine (the far north, where the intense cold necessitates constant search for warmth), Stormdread Lair, and the Temple of a Thousand Winds. Liyue
Element: Geo (Stone). Archon: Morax (also known as the Lord of Stone). Ideal: Contracts. Capital: Liyue Harbor. Culture: Reflects elements of traditional Chinese culture. The region is famous for its mountainous landscapes, stone forests, and trade. It hosts the annual Sea Lantern Festival. Terrain: Diverse—from shallow beaches and river-crossed plains to the high mountains and stone forests of Inazuma.
Element: Electro. Archon: Beelzebub (current), formerly Baal. Ideal: Eternity. Main City: Inazuma. Culture: Inspired by Japanese aesthetics. The region is characterized by isolation and a harsh climate. Politics: The Shogunate pursues a policy of eternity, which led to the introduction of the "God's Eye Hunt"—the forced extraction of divine gifts from humans. Landscape: An archipelago of several islands (Narukami, Kannazuka, Yashiori, Tsurumi Island).
