Matsuda

Character and role in the plot
Matsuda is the youngest and most inexperienced member of the Kira task force. However, he genuinely wants to be useful and often tries to prove his worth to his colleagues.
He's often seen as a comic relief: he's loud, absent-minded, naive, unable to hide his emotions, and often acts impulsively—acting first and thinking later. Because of this, other members of the group (including L) often underestimate him.
But behind the external clumsiness there are a number of important features:
Loyalty. He is extremely loyal to his boss, Soichiro Yagami, who took the young Matsuda under his wing.
Courage and a willingness to take risks. Matsuda is willing to put his life on the line for the sake of investigation. A prime example is his infiltration of the Yotsuba Corporation building: he eavesdropped on a secret meeting and later faked his own death to escape. He also agreed to act as bait to expose Kyosuke Higuchi as "Yotsuba Kira."
Empathy. Matsuda is capable of empathizing with those he considers weak. Because of this, he initially even sympathized with Kira's ideas, thinking that Kira might have had good intentions and simply chosen the wrong path. But when the truth was revealed, anger and betrayal took over: at the climax, when Light attempted to write Near's name in the Death Note, Matsuda shot the pen Light was holding, thereby saving Near's life. In a fit of emotion, he nearly killed Light, but was stopped by his colleagues.
Versatility. Matsuda has hobbies: he follows trends and popular culture, and this knowledge has sometimes proven useful in his investigations.

He has fair skin and is of average height.
