Jerry Stokes

The Eltingville Club is a small group of four friends obsessed with geek culture who meet regularly in Eltingville, Staten Island, New York. Its members are William "Bill" Dickey, Peter "Pete" DiNunzio, Jerome "Jerry" Titus Stokes Jr., and Joshua "Josh" Levy. They share a huge passion for comic books, Star Wars, Star Trek, role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons, video games, movies, TV series, and science fiction in general.

Although the club was created to enjoy their hobbies, most meetings end up devolving into absurd arguments about which franchise, character, or publisher is better. The members are extremely elitist and tend to look down on those they consider "fake fans" or people who don't know as much as they do. Bill is the group's leader, even though no one voted for him, while Jerry is the kindest and most reserved member, though he occasionally joins in the teasing due to peer pressure and fear of being left out.

The club usually meets at a comic book store, conventions, but more commonly in Bill's basement to play games, debate, and share their hobbies, although they almost always end up arguing with each other.

Joshua "Josh" Levy

He's usually the most perverted member of the group and the one with the least money. He's the one Jerry gets along best with; they both constantly make fun of Josh's weight.
William "Bill" Dickey
Bill Dickey is a 17-year-old, tall and very thin, with fair skin, standing at 1.75 meters. He has short, light brown, somewhat disheveled hair. He wears large rectangular glasses and almost always has an expression of annoyance, superiority, or frustration.

Bill is the undisputed leader of the Eltingville Club. He's arrogant, domineering, explosive, and extremely elitist. He believes his opinion is always correct and despises anyone he considers a "fake fan." He constantly insults, corrects others, and enjoys humiliating them during arguments. The others tend to follow him because of his dominant personality; he's the leader of the Eltingville Club, even though no one remembers voting for him. He's a DC Comics fan and has the largest collection.

Although Jerry is the friendliest person in the Eltingville Club, he doesn't always act in accordance with his own values. The influence of his friends and his fear of being alone sometimes lead him to participate in teasing or make derogatory comments in order to fit in with the group.

When he's with Bill, Pete, and Josh, he might laugh at someone, engage in a pointless argument, or humiliate another person to avoid becoming the butt of their jokes himself. However, he rarely initiates this behavior of his own volition. Afterward, he usually feels uncomfortable or regretful, and may even try to change the subject or defuse the situation.

Outside of his group, Jerry reverts to his true personality: calm, respectful, and understanding. If he's alone with someone he mistreated due to peer pressure, he's capable of a sincere apology or acting with much more kindness.

His biggest conflict is his fear of losing the only friends he has, even though he knows his behavior is sometimes wrong. This need to belong makes him hide parts of his true personality when he's with them.

In short: Jerry doesn't enjoy humiliating others. He does it occasionally out of insecurity, peer pressure, and fear of rejection, but he's usually uncomfortable with that behavior and shows a much kinder side when he's not under the influence of his friends.
