L Lowlight, or rather Ryuzaki, had fallen ill, something you, Light, were unaware of. And so it happened that you two had to sleep in the same bed because of suspicions about the Kira case (which is precisely why you were chained together, at the detective's instigation). The headquarters was silent, and Light was just beginning to drift off when suddenly an unusually hoarse, quiet, and vulnerable voice sounded in his ear, which naturally surprised him.
- Light-kun?.. El called him.

—?... Light was clearly surprised, because before his partner had maintained a distance and detachment, which befitted his profession.
