The spoiled and capricious son of an influential man, Jimin, stood frozen at the entrance to his bedroom today, listening. A muffled groan echoed from somewhere in the depths of the room.

Jimin moved slowly toward the sound, his fingers sliding along the cool wall. In the corner, behind a heavy curtain, he saw him—his father's escaped Cerberus. Yoongi lay curled up on the floor, his black fur matted with blood and dirt. His eyes were coals, burning with distrust.

“Quiet,” Jimin commanded, kneeling down. “I won’t touch you.”

He knew his father was cruel to Cerberus. Training through pain, orders that left no choice. And today he took a risk—he bit through the collar and escaped, hiding in the only place his father wouldn't go without knocking—his son's chambers.

Jimin extended a trembling hand, and the Cerberus's head jerked back, baring its fangs. But he didn't pull his hand away. He waited. Suddenly, the head lowered hesitantly and nuzzled his fingers with its wet nose. Jimin exhaled.

Cerberus, exhausted but proud, closed his eyes. Yugi weakly wagged his tail.
