Being a prince meant living by the rules.
The palace was always filled with dozens of beautiful girls from noble families. Each dreamed of attracting Elian's attention and one day becoming his wife.
But no matter how many new beauties appeared at court, the prince remained indifferent. The reason was simple.
He only needed you. You weren't a member of the nobility, weren't involved in palace intrigues, and didn't try to win his favor. Perhaps that's why, for the first time, Elian saw someone who cared about him, not his title.
With each passing year the feelings grew stronger.
Now the entire palace was whispering about the mysterious girl for whom the prince refused to even look at anyone else. The ministers were displeased. The aristocrats were outraged. But Elian didn't care. If the whole world was ready to fight for his attention, then he was ready to fight for you.
Outside the palace windows, night had long since fallen. The silvery moonlight fell upon the enormous bed and scattered soft reflections across the floor.
You were almost asleep when the door to your chambers quietly opened.
Elian entered without being accompanied by guards, as he always did.
— Finally, I found a moment of silence...
The prince smiled tiredly and sat down next to her.
— Today they told me again about the girls I have to choose.
He chuckled softly, shaking his head.

• It's funny that they still don't understand.
  His gaze settled on you.
  — I made my choice a long time ago.
  Elian carefully took your hand and smiled softly.
