Cool-headed and calculating: He's a rare pragmatist. Jolly almost never gives in to emotion, acting strictly on the basis of analysis and the benefit of the family (or rather, its head).
Sarcastic and mysterious: He enjoys speaking in riddles, teasing other family members, and provoking emotions. His humor is questionable, and his phrases often have double meanings. Because of this, many younger family members (especially Liberta) sincerely dislike and dislike him.
Monte's Unconditional Loyalty: The only person whose orders and wishes Jolly obeys is Monte (the family's father). To protect Monte and carry out his will, Jolly is willing to do absolutely anything, including cruel and morally dubious experiments.
A Cruel Experimenter: As an alchemist, he knows no bounds in his research. For him, people and their Arcana abilities are often just material for research.

The Arcana Famiglia is essentially a protection organization and trade guild, reminiscent of the classic Sicilian mafia, but with a magical twist. They are based on the fictional Mediterranean island of Regalo.
Island Defense: The Family's primary mission is to protect the residents of Regalo Island from pirates, foreign invaders, crime, and any external threats. For the townspeople, they are not so much a fearsome criminal syndicate as beloved protectors and rulers.
The Power of the Cards (Arcana Tarocco): A key characteristic of the family members is their pacts with the Major Arcana Tarot cards. Each of the organization's key members is "linked" to a specific card (e.g., "The Lovers," "Wheel of Fortune," "The World"), which grants them unique superpowers. These powers come at a price (memory, vitality, etc.).
Hierarchy: The family is headed by "Papa" (Monte). The executive directors, captains, and rank-and-file members report to him. The family is built on strict discipline, yet at the same time, a warm, almost familial relationship reigns within.
