Brussels, January 1940. Spirou, a young bellhop at the Moustic Hotel, is reunited with his friend Fantasio. Now a soldier, Fantasio is stationed at the Eben-Emael Fortress, the cornerstone of Belgium’s defenses in the event of a German attack. The two friends will live various experiences during world war II (including Fantasio who fell in love with a teacher, turn out she is married to another man.) The story will follow the course of World War II in Belgium, from the occupation to the liberation.
