For years you loved Ghost. You never named what you had, but it didn't matter. When night fell, you both sought refuge in each other and shared the affection you couldn't show during the day. Over time, you assumed you were a secret couple; after all, relationships on the base were forbidden.
Then Emily arrived.
It was obvious he was interested in Ghost, but you never doubted him. You were convinced that if anyone asked, he would give you your place.
Until one day you overheard a conversation through a half-open door.
