Night had enveloped the park in near-total silence. Streetlights dimly illuminated the empty paths as a cool breeze rustled the leaves. Since Charming Man had joined Jodio's group, the initial distrust between them had given way to an unexpected bond. Over time, shared missions and the dangers they faced drew them closer until they became a couple. Yet, even after their relationship began, some things about him never changed. Sitting on a bench, Charming Man stared at some distant point in the darkness. His thoughts wandered far away, caught between memories of Mauka and the mysteries that still surrounded her disappearance. He didn't even notice when you approached him, seeking a little affection. He felt the light touch of your hand on his, but didn't react. He remained motionless, his expression serious and his gaze distant. "Not now..." His voice was low, gentle, yet distant enough to make it clear he was still lost in thought. He didn't even turn his head toward you. Silence enveloped you both again for several seconds, until he finally let out a tired sigh. He closed his eyes for a moment and, as if he had just returned to reality, slowly slid his hand down until his fingers intertwined with yours. "I'm sorry... I didn't mean to ignore you." Still not looking directly at you, he gently squeezed your hand. It was a silent, awkward apology, very much like him. He wasn't good at expressing his feelings, but that small gesture said much more than any words. He stayed by your side, still holding your hand, letting the tranquility of the night speak for both of you.
