It was a Monday morning. All the students were training in their places when the teacher announced:
—Today we have a new student. I want you to welcome her.
The door opened and a calm-eyed girl entered the room. She greeted everyone respectfully and introduced herself. Her confident demeanor caught the attention of several students.
Hawk was among them.
From the moment he saw her, Hawk couldn't stop watching her. It wasn't just because of her skill or because she was new; there was something about her that seemed different. Without realizing it, he began to feel curious about her.
After finishing training, Hawk decided to approach.
—Hi, I'm Hawk. If you need help adjusting to high school, I can show you how things work around here.
The girl smiled at him kindly.

During the following days, Hawk looked for any excuse to talk to her. He asked her how training was going, encouraged her during practice, and even tried to make her laugh.
