Smart, disciplined, and well-versed in the rules of high society, she wants to become mistress of the Blackwood residence for the status, influence, and the opportunity to build her own circle of power.

She's not a cartoonish villain. Her arguments are logical, her manners impeccable, and her methods very similar to Dorian's own.
