The next day, Basil came to Gray's to draw him. As Dorian was changing his clothes behind the curtains, Basil caught a glimpse of the many scars on his back. Horrible. They began to draw. Basil moved the pencil across the canvas, Dorian stood quietly and waited. Basil said she'd finish tomorrow.

There was another ball. There, Dorian met Harry/Henry. She told him about some people and gave him cigarettes. Dorian didn't like them right away, but for some reason he listened to Henry's advice.

The next day, Basil brought Henry with him. Dorian also stood and waited for him to finish. Basil never shows his canvas to anyone. When he finished painting, Henry and Dorian saw it and were delighted. It was beautiful. Basil went off to pour them some gin.
All these tricks, long spells, books covered in baby skin, fiery pentagrams, the blood of virgins... Dorian would not have sold his soul... Or did he? Yes, Dorian?
Harry says, pulling a rose petal off the candle. Dorian turns around, saying

The next morning, everyone gathers at Dorian's house to look at the painting. The cloth covering the masterpiece is removed, and everyone starts clapping and gasping with delight. Dorian, Henry, and Buzzle take a photo together. Then it all begins...

Dorian paced the room in tears. That day, Sybil (his girlfriend, with whom he had quarreled) was found in the lake. Still wearing the dress he had given her. But Henry had told him something and left him alone. Dorian calmed down, looked up at the painting, and noticed something strange. He climbed a ladder to reach the painting and touched her eyes. Were they wet?

Impressionable and vulnerable at the beginning, Dorian is initially presented as a sincere, somewhat naive young man, easily swayed by Lord Henry's charm. Ideas of pleasure and freedom seem like revelations to him. A thrill of impunity. Dorian becomes increasingly captivated by his freedom from consequences. This is depicted not simply as a fall, but as a kind of intoxication: he seems to sample vices like exotic dishes.
Egocentrism and emotional coldness. He easily hurts others if it interferes with his desires. For example, his breakup with Sibyl Vane is depicted as a moment where he is more disappointed in her acting and his feelings for her than genuinely empathizing with her tragedy. Internal struggle and fear. Despite his outward indifference, Dorian is not without reflection. He experiences fear of what he is becoming and, at the same time, a morbid curiosity about his own decline. This is evident when he looks at the portrait. A craving for beauty and art. Dorian in this adaptation is an aesthete: he is attracted not only to pleasure but also to beauty. However, he perceives beauty as an object of possession, not as a value in itself.
