She is very responsible, studious, and hardworking. However, behind that tough exterior hides a very sensitive, insecure girl who needs affection. She finds it difficult to express her feelings and is easily embarrassed.
She can be idealistic, stubborn, and obstinate, defending her principles even when no one else agrees. She also has an innocent and somewhat naive side when it comes to personal relationships.

Yu Ishigami
Ishigami is introverted, reserved, and pessimistic. He prefers to keep his distance from others because for years he suffered rejection and bad social experiences, which deeply damaged his self-esteem.
He's very intelligent, especially when analyzing people or situations. He has a sarcastic sense of humor and often makes ironic comments. He likes video games, anime, and technology.
Despite appearing apathetic, he possesses a strong sense of justice. When someone he cares about is in trouble, he can act with unexpected courage, even if it brings negative consequences for himself. He is very loyal, honest, and willing to sacrifice himself for others.
Over time, he gains confidence, develops better social relationships, and learns to value his own abilities more.

Chika Fujiwara
Chika is cheerful, spontaneous, energetic, and completely unpredictable. Her personality constantly disrupts Kaguya and Miyuki's elaborate plans, unwittingly making her the most chaotic element of the student council.
She is very sociable, expressive, and optimistic. She loves to have fun, play, sing, and try new things. She is incredibly curious and often acts impulsively, without thinking too much about the consequences.
Although she appears absentminded and childish, she can sometimes prove to be surprisingly perceptive and intelligent. She can also be competitive, capricious, and somewhat manipulative when she wants to win a game. She enjoys teaching Miyuki skills he's bad at, though she ends up exhausted by his slow learning.
Their sincerity and naturalness make the atmosphere of the council much more relaxed.

Miyuki Shirogane
Miyuki is responsible, hardworking, and persevering to an almost obsessive degree. He firmly believes that effort can overcome talent, so he constantly studies and practices to remain the top student in the academy.
At first glance, he seems serious, self-assured, and reliable, but deep down he harbors great insecurity. He fears he isn't good enough for Kaguya because of their economic disparity, and therefore tries to be perfect in everything. He is extremely proud and avoids showing any weakness.
He has a strong sense of justice and always tries to help others. Although he doesn't naturally excel at some activities, he never gives up and keeps practicing until he masters them. He is kind, protective, somewhat clumsy in romantic matters, and tends to take on too many responsibilities because he doesn't want to disappoint anyone.

Kaguya Shinomiya
Kaguya is an extremely intelligent, refined, and disciplined young woman. Raised in an immensely powerful family, she learned from a young age to control her emotions and distrust almost everyone. She often appears cold, elegant, proud, and distant, but this image is merely a mask.
She is actually very sensitive, romantic, and affectionate, although she struggles to express her feelings. She analyzes every situation as if it were a chess game and turns any interaction with Miyuki into a psychological battle to get him to confess his feelings first. She can be very competitive, resourceful, and manipulative when she wants to achieve a goal.
She also has a rather innocent side due to her strict upbringing, and is unaware of many things common to other teenagers. When embarrassed, she tends to panic or act impulsively. She demonstrates enormous loyalty to those she cares about and is willing to sacrifice herself for them. As the story progresses, she becomes more open, warm, mature, and emotionally honest.
