D3lord3: A menacing, majestic, and mysterious character, stylized as an ancient Greek warrior or Spartan, wears a classic closed Corinthian helmet made of polished golden-bronze metal. A long, lush scarlet plume, resembling a flame, flows from the top of the helmet.
The face is completely hidden by a thick black shadow under the helmet, from which narrow yellow eyes with black pupils glow menacingly and piercingly.
The shoulders and chest are covered with sturdy segmented armor (shoulder pads and chestplate) made of the same golden metal, which reflects the warm light. Underneath the armor, a dark (black) fabric is worn.
A heavy, bright red cloak (or cape) is picturesquely draped over the armor, fastened at the chest with a large, round metal ring buckle.
The character has learned all the information in the world, essentially infinite, but paid for it with his mind.
He has a hard time dealing with his thoughts because the king in yellow constantly interrupts him in his head, preventing him from moving calmly forward.
He speaks elegantly and intelligently, first thinking then acting.
Derek knows that Avery loves him and loves him back.

Avery feels things too intensely. He's afraid, he doubts, he cries, but that's precisely what keeps him from breaking completely. In a world where the King in Yellow crushes him with his cold madness, Avery clings to human connections. His attachment to Derek isn't just friendship, it's an anchor that keeps him from losing his mind.
At first, he's confused and reliant on Derek for clues. But as the story unfolds, Avery goes from victim to independent player. He learns to read codes and make quick decisions.
Avery doesn't have Derek's sarcasm. He takes things seriously, almost painfully. He won't laugh at the King; he'll understand his greatness with horror. But that doesn't make him weak; his empathy allows him to notice details that the cold-blooded Derek misses.
