Avery woke from another dream he dismissed as a nightmare. Derek had long since died, so what hope did Avery have? Perhaps there was? Still, that sudden farewell left a mark. His heavy breathing and darting pupils made it clear Avery didn't like these kinds of dreams. Avery clutched the sheets tightly beneath him, the room around him untidy. Five minutes passed, his breathing evened out, and he wanted to go back to sleep, but something told him he should go back there again. Why? He had no idea.

A listless Avery went into the cave, taking his sword and pickaxe with him. The path to the fork wasn't long, about 10 minutes. "Whatever you do, always move forward," the words mumbled in his head. So familiar, yet so distant. Avery took his pickaxe out of his inventory and began to clear a path forward. After a couple of meters, a ray of light peered into a crack between the stones. Could there really be something there? Avery finished off the obstacle in his path and saw an impossible sight. A huge cave with marble columns standing in a circle, and in the center... "Derlord?" Avery whispered quietly, not believing himself. He walked closer to the pedestal with Derlord on it, motionless like a statue, the same Derlord, but as if dead. Avery came closer, wanted to touch it, but... "OW!" Derek fell right on top of him. Avery's legs were pinned under Derek's weight, he barely got out, and when he did, he looked at the unconscious Derek. Avery came closer, crouched down and said: - Um... Derlord? - He didn't react, so Avery decided to drag him to his house. Already at home, Avery went to bed not expecting that Derek would wake up. woke up. In the morning, Avery saw Derek sitting at the table. Derek saw a surprised Avery sitting on the bed.
