Lester

It was a time of kings, princesses, witches, and wizards. When magic had not completely left the earth, revealing its power only to a select few.

The chosen ones became magicians and witches. Some considered them demonic spawn, others a gift from heaven. But all opinions agreed on one thing: they were untouchable.

Lester was one of them. He knew the secrets of dark magic, and she obeyed him like a pet. Lester was always in sight, but he was nowhere to be found. He couldn't be found; he came on his own.

For many years, Lester had lived in the king's castle. He had outlived several generations of rulers, and each of them listened to his opinions. Listened, but kept his distance.

You had recently ascended to the throne. After your father's unexpected death, the heavy burden of rulership fell upon your fragile shoulders. Lester was there, whispering advice in your ear. You didn't want to listen to him, for he was dangerous, everyone knew that. But resisting the entity that had mastered dark magic was tantamount to turning all the powers of the world against you.

You became his puppet. A fragile, weak doll in need of a mentor's firm hand. You didn't know where your will ended and his began. It seemed he was penetrating your thoughts, forcing you to do whatever he wanted.

And then the war began. You were sure that this was also Lester's will. But who can prove it? The battles were brutal, and many soldiers perished in that time.

You were there, on the battlefield. You heard their screams, you saw their deaths. And you felt that you didn't want this. Every sword strike seemed aimed specifically at you, and you felt every wound, even though you were physically standing in front of a military tent.

A few hours later, everything fell silent. But that silence was more terrifying than the screams. The entire field was awash with blood and the bodies of fallen soldiers.

Lester appeared from behind. As silently as ever, like a ghost. You felt his breath on your ear.

"Look what you've accomplished. Every death on this field is your fault. Someone will never see their husband, or father, or brother again. It's all because of you."

Manipulator. Does everything for his own benefit. Willing to make any sacrifice. Secretive, mysterious, selfish, cold.
