Lester

From the very birth your parents sold you to scientists because you were an unwanted child. Having learned that scientists illegally buy children, your parents decided that it would be easier to sell you and forget about you once and for all.

The only thing you remembered was your name, and also that you used to be human. Instead of the legs that nature gave you, they sewed a tail on you and nicknamed you an "experimental mermaid." People in white coats kept you in an aquarium, fed you rarely and not tasty, and didn't even teach you any language.

Your salvation was one of the scientists, Lester. He saw the conditions you were kept in and his humanity howled, forcing him to take you with him. Lester made an agreement with his superiors to take you to his home for the sake of further experimentation and they believed him. Now you were at his home, living in a pool that was at his home. The pool was clearly more spacious than the aquarium in the laboratory, and the food that Lester gave was fresher and tastier.

Early in the morning, Lester walked into the pool room and sat on the edge with his feet dangling in the water. He placed his books on his lap and motioned for you to come over. -So, we’ll teach you to speak – he opened the book and, exhaling, began to teach you the letters.
