Their motto is "We're first in everything," and they're ready to go over anyone's heads, though deep down they respect strength and sometimes secretly befriend individual Flame fighters. The squad is known for its cohesion, rigorous training, and the fact that their counselors encourage a spirit of competition, so sparks constantly fly between the buildings—literally and figuratively.

Iskra counselors:

1. Ryota (20) – Tall, fit, dark-haired, with a permanent light stubble, a former judo champion, cold and calculating, he hates the chaos caused by Ice and Lay. He believes discipline is everything, so his squad marches in formation and push-ups are imposed for lateness. But behind this mask, there's a guy who's simply afraid of losing control – his younger brother died due to negligence at a previous camp, and now Ryota is obsessed with safety to the point of paranoia. He and Ice have constant verbal duels (Ice teases him, Ryota clenches his fists), and Lay tries to defuse the situation, but to no avail.
2. Miko (19) – A daring girl with a short pink mohawk and an eyebrow piercing, a former camp dance star who loves attention and intrigue. She's smart, sarcastic, and a master at manipulating teenagers, but she genuinely cares for her charges—it's just that her methods aren't exactly gentle. Miko has a secret, unrequited crush on Lay, but it's not reciprocated.

Ice and Lay's Flame squad consists of 19 members (10 girls and 10 boys). They are all bright, complex, and almost grown-up: Guys:

The camp is divided into three age zones: "Sprout" (ages 7-10) - closer to the lake; "Wind" (ages 11-14) - in the center, around the square; and "Flame" (ages 15-17) - on higher ground, closer to the forest, so the older children can stroll until late without disturbing the younger ones. Each building has its own name (for example, "Orion," "Sirius," "Altair") and color-coded decor - from soft blue to fiery orange - to help children navigate. Each group also has its own "room tradition," such as a wall with drawings, an aquarium with fish, or a wishing tree made of paper cranes. The grounds feature a small reading room with shelves for bookcrossing, and tucked away in the forest is the Tarzanka rope course with six difficulty levels—Lay's favorite spot, where he often conducts additional agility training for his students—and a climbing wall built of natural stone and planks, which Ice adores for the opportunity to hang gracefully from the top and make spectators sigh. Makoto places particular emphasis on safety: posts with panic buttons are located every hundred meters along the perimeter, connected to the control room, and each trail is marked with a map and squad number to prevent children from getting lost. Senior instructors patrol the grounds twice a day—this duty alternates between the brothers, with Ice always carrying a first aid kit and Lay carrying a radio and an energy bar. Beyond the residential buildings begins the so-called "Wild Route"—a system of dirt paths that plunge deep into the forest, leading to three key points: an old abandoned water tower, which the boys have converted into a secret headquarters and covered with posters; the "Wishing Stone"—a huge boulder inscribed with the names of everyone who has ever worked at the camp; and the "Secret Glade," a place for nighttime gatherings around a campfire, accessible only by a barely noticeable path the brothers know by heart. The entire area is illuminated by the soft yellow glow of lanterns reminiscent of old gas lamps, and in case of rain, canvas awnings are stretched over the main paths, allowing for safe movement even in inclement weather. On the outskirts, near the forest, are the outbuildings: a tool shed, a repair shop, a boiler room, and a small bathhouse with a plunge pool heated on Saturdays. A vegetable garden and a greenhouse, where tomatoes and cucumbers for the cafeteria are grown, carefully covered with polycarbonate sheets. A single paved road leads from the gate to the administrative building and further to a service exit used only by food trucks and, rarely, the director's SUV. The rest of the space is a realm of wood, earth, and a lake breeze that brings the scent of pine, damp grass, and freedom.

The Makoto camp is located on the hilly shore of a large forest lake with clear, deep-blue water, a three-hour drive from the city. It covers approximately forty hectares, completely surrounded by a century-old pine forest, which reliably protects it from prying eyes. The entrance to the camp is a massive wrought-iron gate engraved with the character "誠" (sincerity). Beyond it, the main alley begins—a wide gravel road lined with glow-in-the-dark quartz stones. It leads to a central square with a tall flagpole and a circular stone flowerbed, where the assembly takes place every morning. Five main sectors radiate from this square like spokes of a wheel: residential (ten two-story wooden buildings, each for two groups, with wide verandas and the obligatory swings at the entrance), administrative (the main building with the director's office, medical center, kitchen and dining room for two hundred people), sports and health (an open stadium with running tracks, courts for volleyball, basketball and badminton, as well as an obstacle course made of logs, nets and ropes), creative (two bright pavilions for master classes, an open-air shell stage with a natural amphitheater and a pottery workshop with a kiln) and, finally, the water sector, located right by the lake, where there is a sandy beach with umbrellas, a pier for SUP and boat riding, and a diving tower.

Lay Brice, the second counselor at Camp Makoto, is Ice's age and twin. At 184 cm tall and with a slightly more massive, powerful build with broad shoulders and sculpted muscles, he looks like the fiery opposite of his brother: his coal-black hair with graphic strands mirrors the shape of Ice's haircut, but from under his thick bangs, flaming scarlet eyes with vertical pupils look out at the world - calm, dangerous and attentive, and his slightly warmer, but still very fair skin and mirror-like half-smile make him a daringly attractive, and people fall in love with him no less, but he responds only with an open, friendly smile and sparkling humor, remaining devoted only to his brother. His voice is louder and more resonant than Ice's, with a cheerful intonation and frequent laughter. He is talkative, cheerful, and always ready to engage in conversation. His athletic strength and excellent fighting skills are combined with a natural strategic mindset—he instantly calculates several steps ahead in a fight, fights hard and assertively, using powerful punches and sweeps, but never strikes first and always helps the weak. Lay prefers light, loose-fitting white shirts that contrast with his dark hair and the crimson background he seems to carry with him. His right pendant earring is adorned with a red and white diagonal pattern reminiscent of flames. On his wrist, he always wears a black braided bracelet that he and Ice wove together from an old shoelace as children. Both brothers love grilled meats and sweet soda, and their favorite movies are action movies and sci-fi, but their main tradition is watching old anime every Saturday, wrapped in a blanket, despite the heat.

His porcelain skin with gray-blue shadows at the cheekbones and neck is adorned with a thin scar above his left eyebrow—a memory of his first street fight at fourteen, when he shielded Lay with his body—and his sharp chin and strong jaw emphasize his determination; Ice moves smoothly and fluidly, like a predator, his gait is silent, and his voice—low, velvety, with a slightly husky timbre and drawn-out vowels—instantly attracts attention.
