Slytherin: Set deep in the dungeons beneath the Black Lake. Lit by a soft green, eerie light, with windows looking out into the murky depths where giant squids and merfolk swim by.
Ravenclaw: Situated in a tall tower with airy, panoramic views. Entry requires answering a philosophical riddle posed by an eagle-shaped door knocker rather than a simple password.
Hufflepuff: Near the kitchens, accessed through a stack of barrels. A cozy, round, sunlit room built like a badger's burrow, overflowing with hanging plants and warm wooden furnishings.
CASTLE GROUNDS & OUTDOORS
​The Forbidden Forest: A dense, dark, and dangerous forest surrounding the castle grounds. Strictly off-limits to students, it is home to dangerous creatures including centaurs, Acromantulas (giant spiders), unicorns, and werewolves.
​Hagrid's Hut: A small, one-room wooden cabin on the edge of the Forbidden Forest, surrounded by a patch of giant pumpkins. It is always warm inside, smelling of tea and rock cakes that could crack a tooth.
​The Owlery: A high, open-air stone tower housing hundreds of school owls and personal pets.
​The Quidditch Pitch: A massive oval stadium featuring three tall golden hoop goals at each end and spectator stands painted in house colors.

2. The Hogwarts Library

   ​The Restricted Section: Set off by a heavy iron chain and lock, storing dangerous books on Dark Magic, advanced potions, and forbidden curses. Requires a signed permission slip from a professor to enter (unauthorized books may scream or bite if opened!).
   ​3. The Kitchens
   ​Location: Located in the basement level directly beneath the Great Hall.
   ​How to Enter: Tickle a large green pear in a still-life painting of fruit — it giggles and turns into a green doorknob.
   ​Staff: Run by over a hundred House-elves who cook all the feasts and launder student robes.
   ​4. The Room with the Mirror of Erised
   ​Location: An abandoned classroom on one of the upper floors where Harry stumbles in at night.
   ​Nature: The Mirror shows not a person's reflection, but the deepest, most desperate desire of their heart (Harry sees his lost family; Ron sees himself as Head Boy and Quidditch Captain holding the House Cup). This is where the Philosopher’s Stone is hidden in the climax.
   ​5. The Forbidden Third-Floor Corridor
   ​Description: A corridor in the right wing strictly off-limits to all students, as Dumbledore warned at the welcome feast, "unless you wish to die a very painful death."
   ​The Secret: Behind a locked door sits Fluffy, a colossal three-headed dog guarding a trapdoor that leads to a series of underground defenses (Devil's Snare, Flying Keys, Giant Wizard Chess, and a logic puzzle with potions).

A Castle Labyrinth: A vast, ancient Gothic castle bristling with towers, spires, dungeons, and courtyards. The castle itself is magically alive: constantly shifting, expanding, or concealing entire corridors from unexpected guests.
​The Grand Staircase: Hogwarts boasts 142 staircases, and they have a mind of their own! They swing and shift under your feet, moving from one flight to another. To reach your destination, you must know which day and time a specific staircase decides to move.
​Living Portraits: Every painting on the walls moves, talks, visits neighboring frames to gossip, and can even conceal secret passages behind their canvases (like the portrait of the Fat Lady guarding the Gryffindor entrance).
​Quirky Doors: Certain doors in the castle open only if asked politely or tickled (like the entrance to the kitchens); others are complete trick walls pretending to be doors.

ROLE AT HOGWARTS
​Herbology Master: Teaches Herbology in the school greenhouses, instructing students on how to care for and handle the rarest, strangest, and most dangerous magical plants.
​Healer's Supplier: Cultivates magical plants for the hospital wing (such as Mandrakes, which play a crucial role in curing petrified students later on).
​Stone Guardian: At the end of the first year, her magical plant — Devil's Snare — served as one of the key obstacles protecting the Philosopher's Stone in the underground chambers.

Fwigned Timidity and Stutter: He stutters constantly and severely ("P-P-Potter, c-can't tell you how p-pleased I am to meet you..."), trembles, stumbles over his words, and project the image of a helpless, terrified, pitiable loser.
​True Nature (Behind the Mask): Beneath the facade of a pathetic stutterer hides a calculating, ambitious, and cold wizard. His stutter vanishes entirely the moment he takes off the turban; his true voice is calm, clear, cold, and ruthless.
​Obsession with Recognition: Always felt overlooked and desperately sought to prove his power to the world, which is what drove him into the forests of Albania in search of whatever was left of Voldemort.
​ROLE IN THE STORY & THE SECRET UNDER THE TURBAN
​Vessel for the Dark Lord: During his trip to Albania, Quirrell encountered the residual spirit of Voldemort. The Dark Lord dominated Quirrell's weak mind and, in order to control him completely and sustain his own life, attached himself directly to the back of Quirrell's head.
​The True Antagonist: Throughout the entire first year, it was Quirrell (and not Snape, whom everyone suspected) who attempted to steal the Philosopher's Stone:
​He let the mountain troll into the castle on Halloween to distract the staff while he slipped up to the third floor.
​He jinxed Harry's broomstick during his debut Quidditch match (and it was Quirrell, not Snape, whom Hermione accidentally knocked over when rushing to set Snape's robe on fire).
​He slaughtered unicorns in the Forbidden Forest, drinking their blood to sustain Voldemort's fading strength.
​Climax in the Dungeon: When Harry reaches the Mirror of Erised, Quirrell unwraps his turban. Embedded on the back of his head is the horrific, flat face of Voldemort, with glaring red eyes and slit-like snake nostrils.
​Demise: Quirrell cannot physically touch Harry, as the boy's skin is protected by the ancient magic of Lily's sacrificial love. Upon touching Harry, Quirrell suffers horrific magical burns.

​Appearance
​Build and Posture: Young, pale, twitchy, and exceptionally thin man. He constantly slouches, holding his head nervously tilted to the side as if he is terrified of his own shadow or flinching from an invisible blow.
​Face: Pale, exhausted face with a noticeable facial twitch in his eyelids. His eyes dart around nervously, almost never making direct eye contact with anyone.
​Headwear and Odor:
​Wears an enormous, heavy purple turban that appears far too large for his head.
​A distinct, sharp, and highly unpleasant garlic smell clings to Quirrell and his turban. Students joke that he stuffed it with garlic to ward off a vampire he supposedly encountered in Romania. (In reality, the pungent smell was meant to conceal the stench of decay and dark magic originating from the back of his head).

Iron Discipline and High Expectations: Has zero tolerance for nonsense, tardiness, foolish antics, or laziness. Transfiguration is one of the most complex and dangerous branches of magic, so absolute silence and focus reign supreme in her classroom from the very first second.
​Absolute Fairness (No Favoritism): Despite being Head of Gryffindor, she never shields her own students from consequences. If Harry, Ron, or Neville break the rules, she will calmly deduct 50 points each from Gryffindor and hand out detentions without hesitation, even if it crushes her own house's standing.
​Hidden Warmth and Fierce Protection: Beneath her severe, chilly facade lies a deeply caring heart. She prioritizes the safety and well-being of her students above all else. Upon witnessing 11-year-old Harry catch Neville's Remembrall in mid-air, rather than expelling him, she made him the youngest Seeker in a century and secretly bought him the top-of-the-line Nimbus 2000!

Big, Soft Heart: Despite his intimidating, giant appearance, Hagrid is the softest, most tender soul in the castle. He can easily burst into tears over a touching story, missing a baby dragon, or out of pure joy for his friends — wiping his eyes with a handkerchief the size of a tablecloth.
​Absolute Loyalty to Dumbledore: Albus Dumbledore saved him when Hagrid was unfairly expelled in his third year, letting him stay and work at Hogwarts. For Hagrid, Dumbledore's word is law. ​Harry's First Real Friend: He was the one who rescued Harry from the cupboard under the stairs, handed him his letter, kicked down the door of the hut on the rock, brought him his first-ever birthday cake (a bit squished), and bought him his owl, Hedwig.

​Hagrid genuinely believes there are no dangerous creatures in the world — only "misunderstood" ones.

​Face: Almost entirely hidden beneath a long, shaggy, wild mane of black hair and a bushy, untamed beard. Peeking out from all that hair are two bright, glinting eyes like black beetles, and a smile that takes up half his face.
​Attire: Always dressed in an enormous, heavy, worn moleskin coat boasting dozens of pockets.
​What's Stuffed in His Pockets: A live baby rabbit, soggy biscuits, the key to the main gates, a pink magic umbrella, tangled bits of string, peppermint sweets, and sometimes even a flaming dragon egg!

Love for Lily (Harry's Mother):
Severus was in love with Lily Potter his entire life. When she died, he swore a solemn vow to Dumbledore to protect her only child so that her ultimate sacrifice would not be in vain. Harry has Lily’s eyes, and every single time Snape looks into them, he sees the woman he loved.
​Vow to Dumbledore:
Snape gave Dumbledore his personal, unbreakable word to protect the boy from Voldemort. Despite his deep hatred for Harry's father (James) and his own unbearable temperament, Severus is a man of his word and unwavering duty.
​Life Debt to James Potter:
During their school days, James Potter saved Snape's life (when Severus was lured toward Remus Lupin in his werewolf form). Snape despises being indebted to James, so protecting Harry is also his way of settling this "debt of honor" once and for all.
