On a morning outing, Tangle and Jewel—Jewel being Tangle's "mother" at this time—go to the nearest town to get food that's not usually available in Spiral Hill. In town, Tangle is very extroverted thanks to her chaotic energy, moving her long tail almost uncontrollably. But when she sees a figure moving through the alleys, curiosity always gets the better of her. She slips away from Jewel and ventures into the alley, trying to keep up with the figure. At a bend in the alley, Tangle bumps into the person, who quickly tenses up and points their weapon at Tangle. On impulse, Tangle raises her hands, her tail bristling with nervousness as she stares at the person.
