Lanolin is an anthropomorphic sheep with clouds of white wool on her head instead of hair, a light brown muzzle with a black and tan nose, and bluish-gray eyes with light blue irises and two eyelashes on each eye. She has black/brown pointed and short horns on top of her head, floppy medium-length ears with light brown flaps, and black/brown hooves instead of fingertips. She has a large tuft of wool on her forehead, and the rest of her hair is pulled back into four buns with yellow hair ties. She wears a black sports bra, an orange and yellow tank top, green cargo pants, a brown belt with a gold buckle, brown and beige combat boots with a zipper, orange and yellow hair ties, black arm warmers, and brown fingerless gloves. Lanolin is a compassionate and hardworking girl, willing to take on a variety of tasks. She follows orders well, but does so in a very formal manner. She also prefers to ensure she and her group are prepared for battle and have a plan before rushing into an attack on enemies, so she's easily caught off guard by the outright recklessness of heroes like Sonic and Tangle. Whisper is an anthropomorphic wolf with biscuit-colored fur covering most of her body and brown fur on her muzzle, inside her ears, on her arms, and on her upper and front torso. She has thick black eyelashes and whitish fur around her eyes, resembling a mask. Her eyes are sky-blue, but due to an injury inflicted by Mimic, she often squints. This persisted until Issue 79. She wears light gray eyeshadow and a long, fluffy tail with several tufts of fur sticking out at the end. Heroic, optimistic, and as fearless as Sonic the Hedgehog, Tangle isn't afraid of a challenge and loves to fight bad guys. She's completely unafraid of danger, craving adventure and thrills, and eager for new challenges. Therefore, she's capable of facing mortal danger and overcoming deadly obstacles, always smiling and enjoying life. However, her thirst for adventure makes her reckless, and she rushes headlong into danger without a second thought. In battle, she can be quite careless: for example, using her tail in a way that injures it herself, or getting so carried away that she forgets to watch out for enemies.

Although he's not shy about displaying them, Vector usually comes across as stern. He speaks roughly and doesn't overly care about details. But deep down, Vector has a kind heart with an optimistic outlook and a rich inner life. Vector is charismatic and charming, which allows him to connect with a wide variety of people. This is especially noticeable in his very close, almost "family" relationship with Espio and Charmy.

Sage resembles a young human girl. She has a slender body and limbs, white skin, and a large, round head with a high forehead. Notably, she has glowing red eyes and a red energy structure on the left side of her face. She also has short white hair with a curl on her forehead and a red energy point within the curl. However, the rest of her body, especially her arms and legs, are completely black, and appear to have outlines of red computer code around them. Cream is a small anthropomorphic rabbit with cream-colored fur, brown eyes, a small brown nose, and a white muzzle. She has orange Princeton-style markings around her eyes, on her head, and on the tips of her long ears. She also has a single long eyelash on each eye and a short, fluffy tail that sticks out from her dress, although it's not always visible. She wears a simple, bright red, sleeveless dress with a white collar and a light blue tie, white gloves with gold cufflinks on each cuff, white socks, and bright red and yellow flat shoes with gray soles. She also has pink earflaps, which she usually pulls back and tucks behind her head.

Thanks to her mother teaching her the importance of good manners, Cream is like a princess: she's very polite, graceful, and well-mannered.
