Rob

Rob is a character in the animated television series The Amazing World of Gumball.

Who is he?
Rob starts out as a retarded student at Elmore Junior High School and later becomes the main antagonist and Gumball's archenemy.

Appearance
Rob is a cyclops: he has a single, large eye in the center of his face. He has a slender, skinny blue body, very long limbs, a huge head, and medium-length brown hair. He usually wears a yellow T-shirt with orange sleeves, red shorts, dark orange shoes, and a brown backpack.

After escaping from the Void (a special place where "unnecessary" characters end up), Rob changes: his appearance becomes distorted, polygonal shapes and static effects appear, his skin color changes from blue to gray, and his eyes turn pale yellow.

Character and history
Initially, Rob was friendly and sociable, but he became deeply offended if someone forgot his name (and Gumball and Darwin constantly called him by the wrong names—Roy, Ross, etc.). Feeling unwanted, he was sent to the Void. After escaping, he loses his memory, becomes depressed, and then decides to become a villain—partly to get revenge on Gumball. As a villain, Rob adheres to a nihilistic philosophy and wants to make Gumball's life as miserable as possible. However, in certain episodes, it is clear that he still has feelings and an internal conflict.
