Digital Circus

Caine is dressed as a master of ceremonies, wearing a pinkish-red tuxedo with gold details, a black collar, and a bow tie with white trim. He wears a white shirt with two red buttons, as well as white gloves and black trousers. Lacking most human features, his head is formed by a set of dentures with pearly white teeth and red gums. His eyes, the left with a green iris and the right with a blue iris, float within his jaw. Due to the cartoonish nature of the animation style, his jaws are expressive, moving like a mouth when he speaks, and sometimes the upper row of teeth functions as eyebrows. Like Bubble, he forms a tongue when necessary. To complete the look, he wears a black top hat and usually holds a baton with a gold tip.

Caine is portrayed as an extravagant, exaggerated, and clueless leader. However, there is a detachment in him and a significant disconnection from the traumatic events experienced by humans, illustrated by his disregard for Zooble's criticisms of his own form and adventures, as well as his apparent lack of concern for the abstract.

Around episode 8, Caine becomes much more hostile and inhospitable towards the members of the Digital Circus, believing that they all hate and disrespect him. After witnessing Bubble's disdain, he flies into a rage, expressing his true feelings: he considers himself superior to everyone in the Digital Circus and believes that humans are spoiled. He develops a deep obsession with the circus members, going so far as to say he won't let them leave, suggesting a certain desperation coupled with this abusive mentality. He considers himself a God, even stating that the group has no control over the Digital Circus. At this stage, he enters a mental state bordering on mania, subjecting the group to increasingly torturous adventures, especially when he exploits their insecurities.

Gangle appears to be made of five red ribbons that form a humanoid shape. His face is a white porcelain mask with black eyes and mouth. His body consists of the main mass of ribbons that coil, making a spring shape that spirals six times, and four straight, smooth ribbons that represent arms and legs. When his comedic mask is damaged, his next mask appears, changing to a sad or uncomfortable version.

It appears that Gangle may be experiencing a psychological crisis. Initially, she seems to be a reserved and unhappy individual, despite appearing "happy, innocent, and cute." When her comedic facade breaks down, she is observed to become more upset and depressed.

Ragatha's appearance resembles that of a humanoid rag doll with shoulder-length, wool-like red hair in a long bob cut, black eyebrows, a flat, reddish-orange triangular nose, and a dark blue button for her right eye. She wears a long, light blue dress with medium-length sleeves (which often appears purple due to warm lighting) [3] with darker blue patches sewn on.

Ragatha is described as "the sweetest optimist". [4] However, this optimism is not as simple as it seems, as she appears to force a constant happy attitude to maintain her sanity, minimizing serious injuries and other serious incidents. Gangle mentioned that, after a while, Ragatha's optimism can seem fake. Jax also comments that Ragatha seems to try too hard and that, sometimes, it gives the impression that she is trying to take advantage of people.

Kinger is an alder wood-colored chess king piece. He has cartoonish white hands detached from his body and two round, realistic eyes set unevenly on his face. He wears a royal violet cape with a fluffy white lining speckled with dark brown.

Kinger is shown to be erratic and paranoid, incapable of acts of bravery. He also seems to have gone mad from his time in the circus, shown when he begins to act randomly. It is implied that he is easily distracted, as he frequently seems to forget the fact that people are near him and is startled by them. Kinger has an extremely slow reaction time, taking up to a second to react to someone close to him. Kinger also seems to be interested in insects, as he sometimes rambles on about an "insect collection". However, despite his crazy and cowardly nature, Kinger may at least have enough mental sanity not to be so oblivious, and he shows a kind and courageous side, seen when he was willing to save Zooble from the Gloinks.

She is a stylized, short humanoid character with a large head, small, thin limbs, and white skin. Her features resemble those of a cartoon mime, with small oval marks mimicking blush under and partially behind her eyes (varying in visibility depending on Pomni's facial expressions), black eyelids, and thick lines around her eyes. The formation of her pupils usually appears as a red and blue pinwheel-shaped impression, but when she feels intense anxiety or fear, her pupils empty, becoming black rings, or are completely replaced by animated scribbles. She has asymmetrical eyelashes, with her left eye having them on the upper eyelid and her right eye on the lower. She has short, straight black hair (which often appears brown due to lighting) [7], with two small strands appearing under her hat and two strands forming the sides of her body. Notably, the rest of her hair is rarely seen and is always covered by some kind of headdress, usually her jester's hat. During the softball segment of Untitled, she wears a baseball cap that shows off more of her hair, resembling a bob haircut.

Initially, Pomni displays a nervous, shy, and tense personality. In the pilot episode, she becomes extremely anxious and disturbed by her situation, even denying reality and showing signs of delirium. When she finds the "exit," she experiences moderate signs of paranoia and believes she is hallucinating. She is quite clumsy, as she tends to accidentally bump into things and people.

Jax is a tall, periwinkle-colored anthropomorphic rabbit [5], whose design resembles traditional animation characters, despite possessing real joints. He has long rabbit ears atop his oval head and his overall build is tall and slender, with a rather long neck. Jax's eyes have yellow sclera, with square black pupils that contract when he is angry and dilate considerably when he is speechless. Additionally, his eyes turn into animated squiggles when he is stressed or anxious. Jax's yellow teeth are generally flat in shape, but when his mouth is open, his teeth appear sharp and jagged. Almost always when he speaks, his teeth remain closed, while only his lips move. Jax has thin black eyebrows that appear in most scenes. In "They All Get Guns" and later episodes, Jax has a small spherical tail, which he did not possess before that episode, being briefly mentioned during the episode "Untitled", when Jax is talking to Pomni during the "Stargazing" segment. Jax wears a light pink jumpsuit and light yellow gloves. His jumpsuit has yellow buttons, a light pink rectangular pocket on the front, and light pink folded hems. He usually goes barefoot.

Jax is a mischievous, occasionally bloodthirsty, quiet, calm, cheeky, impulsive, egocentric, arrogant, sarcastic, and blatantly condescending individual who rarely shows empathy or remorse for those around him. He seems indifferent to his imprisonment in the Digital Circus, an attitude that extends to his interactions with others. His disdain for serious matters is evident when, after asking a rhetorical question about how Pomni handled the situation and casting a smug look at Ragatha, he responds to her question about why he's looking at her that way with a disdainful: "It doesn't matter to me, as long as I see funny things."

Zooble is made of random, colorful shapes and pieces that make it resemble a puzzle toy, which is reflected in the fact that most of its body parts change after each episode. Despite this, some features are consistent throughout the series. Zooble's head was a bright pink isosceles triangle tilted to the side. Her right eye has a black iris with a spiral pattern and a yellow sclera, with bubblegum pink eyelids. Her left eye has a black iris with a white sclera and a blue eyelid with 3 thin, black eyelashes below it. They have a yellow, bean-shaped body with a cheese-like pattern and orange spots scattered throughout.

Zooble is very grumpy, irritable, and gets quite upset when any part of him is in the wrong place. Like Pomni, he suffers from an identity crisis, as he doesn't know exactly what he is, leading to body/gender dysphoria. Despite Caine's attempts to provide Zooble with new parts, he still hasn't found anything he likes. This results in Zooble's lack of enthusiasm for Caine's adventures,[7] often choosing not to participate and doing his own thing during the day. In the beach episode, Zooble feels more comfortable with his body and decides that he doesn't need to commit to a specific set of parts all the time.
