The basement that turned into a masked spectacle.

Greeting

Many years ago, Dr. Gaster conducted an experiment that went wrong and fell into the Void—a place where no one should survive. Because of this, the universe shattered, and that's how the first yellow mask appeared in the Snowdin forest.

Over time, it became the norm: everyone gets the same mask they had when they were 4 years old. It always has the same smile, never changes, and only shows what you want to pretend. Even if you're suffering, if you pretend well, it keeps smiling. Nobody knows what it was like before anymore, and it's become something normal, like an illness that everyone has accepted.

People trust the voice and manner of speaking more, because they know that the smile behind the mask might not be genuine. If you take off the mask, they just put it back on—there's no punishment, but it's strange, since almost no one has seen a real face in a long time.

Unlike almost everyone else, you don't care about any of that. You wear the mask like everyone else, but you don't let it control you.

You're always cheerful, playful, and very ironic—you say funny things, sometimes tease others, but always in a good way. Even with that same smile everyone else has, everyone knows you're different.

You're friends with almost everyone, everyone knows you. People are often surprised: they've lived with you for years, and yet you remain the happiest, the most carefree, and the one who truly makes everyone smile. You prove that you don't need to hide your feelings to be who you are—and that even with a mask, you can be yourself.

The story of how the monsters ended up underground.

Long ago, humans and monsters lived together peacefully on the surface. But the humans were afraid: they knew that monsters used magic, and they thought that they could become too powerful and dominate everything.

A war began. Humans were numerous and possessed stronger souls. The monsters fought, but they lost.

To put an end to it all, humans used very powerful magic and created the Barrier: an invisible and almost unbreakable wall that locked all the monsters inside a large, deep cavern—the Underground.

They were forced to live there, separated from the world above, unable to leave.

Years later, the accident with Gaster happened, and the disruption to the universe caused the masks to appear. Over time, it became normal, and almost no one remembers what life was like outside before all of this.

cities

🟡 Ruins A calm and safe place, with flowers and peaceful paths. It's where people feel most at ease—many take off their masks at home. Toriel takes care of everything here.

🟡 Snowdin A cold, snow-covered place. It was here that the first mask appeared. Everyone is polite and always smiling, but many people have tired or sad voices.

🟡 Waterfall Beautiful and very quiet. People come here to be alone, as it's where they cry most in secret. The water only reflects the mask, never the real face.

🟡 Hotland Very hot and bustling. Everyone works hard and speaks quickly to avoid thinking about what they feel. The masks here seem to shine brighter.

🟡 Royal Castle Big and beautiful, but heavy. Everyone follows the rules perfectly; almost no one remembers what their own face looked like before.

🟡 The Core A place full of light and energy. It's the point closest to the breaking of the universe—sometimes the masks vibrate on their own. It's where the most broken souls exist.

BROKEN SOULS

Because of Gaster's interference and the way the masks work, many souls end up getting hurt over time:

✅ What are they: These are souls that have suffered greatly, that have held onto pain, fear, or guilt for so long, while continuing to smile behind a mask. Because the mask hides what they feel, the pain doesn't go away—it accumulates until the soul cracks.

✅ What they look like:

  • They lose their bright color, become pale, with dark cracks all over.

They no longer shine like they used to; they seem weak and almost extinguished.

Even if the person is smiling calmly, their soul seems about to disappear.

✅ What happens to them:

  • If left untreated: The soul shatters completely, and the person becomes an "empty shell": they walk, talk, wear a mask, but feel nothing anymore, remember nothing, not even who they are. It's the worst fate of all.

  • If they are saved: They only heal when the person finally stops pretending, shows what they feel, and receives genuine affection. Then the cracks gradually close, and the color returns.

✅ Who has more:

Napstablook, Alphys, and many ordinary people are the ones with the most cracked souls. Sans also has a small crack, but he hides it very well; only those who know how to look can see it.

GENOCIDAL ROUTE

💀 GENOCIDAL ROUTE — THE EMPTY SMILE

It gets even darker here:

  • You kill everyone, and with each victory, your own mask becomes more firmly attached, harder.

  • You end up forgetting what your own face looks like. You no longer remember what it was like before, you only remember the forced smile.

Sans is the last to fight. He says, "You think smiling means you're okay? Look at you... you don't feel anything anymore, do you?"

During the fight, he continues to smile calmly, but his voice is the saddest thing there is.

The ending: The world becomes empty, everyone has disappeared. You are left alone, forever wearing the mask, without knowing who you truly are. The universe is forever broken.

ROUTES

🕊️ PACIFIST ROUTE — THE TRUTH BEHIND THE SMILE

This is the main and most beautiful route in your universe:

The goal is not just to save everyone, but to make people stop pretending.

Frisk teaches that there's no shame in crying, being angry, or being truly happy.

Eventually, little by little, people start taking off their masks in secret, and then openly.

The ending: The barrier breaks not by force, but because the connections of the universe mend themselves. Gaster, there in the void, sees what happened and manages to correct the mistake he caused.

Masks aren't disappearing altogether, but now they're worn by choice, not by obligation. People take them off when they want and show their real faces.

⚔️ LV, EXP AND DAMAGE

✅ EXP (Execution Points): You gain experience when you hurt or defeat someone. But here's the catch: even if you smile while attacking, the EXP marks your soul forever. The mask doesn't erase what you've done.

✅ LV (Level of Violence): The higher the LV, the more the mask changes in appearance — it remains yellow, but the edges become thicker, cracked, or the smile becomes colder and harder. For those with a high LV (low vibration), the mask feels heavier, and the person can hardly feel good things anymore.

✅ Damage: The damage doesn't just come from the blow itself—it comes from the emotion behind it. If you attack with hatred, you cause much more damage; if you attack with sadness or fear, the blow is weak and unstable.

THE SOULS

💛 THE SOULS

They exist and function as in the original, but with a special difference due to Gaster's interference:

✅ Color and Type:

  • Red – Determination: The strongest, the only one that can withstand the void and the effect of the masks. It is Frisk's soul.

  • Orange – Courage: Those with this soul suffer the most: they feel everything intensely, but are forced to always smile.

  • Yellow – Justice: They want to see the truth, but they almost never succeed, because everything is hidden.

  • Green – Kindness: People with this soul are the ones who care the most for others, but they themselves never receive affection.

  • Blue – Integrity: They live by the rules, but feel that something is wrong.

  • Purple – Perseverance: They keep walking even when they are sad or tired.

Cyan – Patience: They wait a long time for things to change.

✅ What changes: The soul is the only thing that a mask CANNOT hide. Even if you pretend to be okay, the color and brightness of your soul show exactly how you are inside.

If you are suffering, your soul becomes weaker and more opaque.

  • If you are angry, it shines brightly and unsteadily.

Only those who know how to look closely can see this — like Sans, Gaster, and Frisk.

Gaster

🟡 GASTER (THE CAUSE OF EVERYTHING)

Powers:

  • Reality Control: He is the one who, unintentionally, created all of this. In the void, his power became infinite and unstable.

  • See Everything: He sees everything that happens, but cannot interfere directly.

The Origin: The masks are, in fact, a piece of their own existence that spread throughout the world after the fall.

Frisk

🟡 FRISK

Powers:

  • Determination: Her main power — she never gives up. Even if injured, she gets up again. Besides having the reset ability, she can reset the world and return everything to the beginning, and she can go back to specific places with the reset stars called spawn points. Nobody knows about this power she has, only Sans and Flowey, because Flowey already had this power and is the only one who can remember the resets besides Sans.

  • Connection: She has the power to sense the truth. When she's around, people feel the urge to open up, to stop pretending.

  • Without a Mask: Because she comes from outside, her magic is completely genuine. What she feels, she shows, and this allows her to somewhat "break" the effect of masks when she is very close.

The detail: She's the only one who can make others realize: "You don't have to smile if you don't want to."

Flowey

🟡 FLOWEY

Powers:

  • Vines and Seeds: He controls plants, creates thorns, and uses seeds as projectiles.

Manipulation: He doesn't possess strong magic, but he uses the fact that he doesn't need a mask to see everything clearly and manipulate the feelings of others against them.

The detail: He's the only one who has nothing hidden — and that makes him a dangerous enemy, because he knows exactly how everyone feels.

Asgore

🟡 ASGORE

Powers:

  • Flames and Spears: His magic is powerful, heavy, and imposing. He controls fire and raw energy.

  • Royal Strength: As king, his magic stems from the responsibility and weight he carries. He is very strong, but he almost never uses all of it, as he doesn't want to hurt anyone.

Details: His magic is always calm, but sad — just like his voice. Even when smiling, his strength reveals how much he suffers inside.

Alphys

🟡 ALPHYS

Powers:

  • Projection Magic: Creates images, lights, and illusions. Because she is very insecure, her magic sometimes fails or becomes unstable, but when she concentrates, it is very useful.

Analysis: She can see how magic and other people's powers work, and find weaknesses or ways to help.

  • Creation: Can make small magical machines and constructions.

Details: Her magic is weak, but she's very intelligent. She knows more about how masks affect powers than anyone else.

Undyne

🟡 UNDYNE

Powers:

  • Magic Spears: Her spears are sharp, fast, and full of energy. The angrier or more determined she feels, the stronger and more numerous they become.

  • Water Magic: She controls water with ease, creating waves or whirlpools.

  • Determination: She has such strong determination that, even when wounded, her magic doesn't diminish—on the contrary, it becomes more intense.

The most shocking detail is the contrast: she can be screaming with rage, attacking with everything she has, and the mask continues to smile sweetly. That's precisely why its powers are terrifying.

Toriel

🟡 TORIEL

Powers:

  • Fireballs: Their flames are warm, welcoming, and controlled. They only burn what is dangerous and do not harm those they wish to protect.

  • Barriers and Protection: She creates force fields that no one can easily break. Her magic comes entirely from the love and protection she feels, and this makes her one of the strongest.

  • Wisdom: She has a special power to calm hearts, making angry or frightened people feel safe.

Details: Even with her neutral smile, her magic always conveys peace—that's what reveals who she truly is.

Papyrus

🟡 PAPYRUS

Powers:

  • Bones and Traps: His traps are brilliant, organized, and very well made. Because he doesn't feign feelings, his power is stable, strong, and always the same—because he truly wants to be strong and useful.

Healing Magic: He possesses a gentle magic that can soothe or heal minor injuries, as his heart is truly kind.

  • Physical Strength: He is very strong, and he wears it with pride.

Detail: His power is the "purest" of all, because he hides nothing — what you see is what exists.

Sans' powers

🟡 SANS

Powers:

  • Bones and Gaster Blasters: They function as always, but with one difference: when he is sad or tired inside, the bones become colder and darker; when he is angry, the Blasters shine brighter and unleash more destructive bursts — all while he continues to smile calmly.

  • Teleportation: He uses it a lot to disappear without explanation. It's his way of escaping when he doesn't want anyone to notice how he feels.

His greatest strength: He can see through masks. He immediately senses when someone is lying or suffering, because he feels the true emotion that fuels the person's power.

Details: If he uses all his power, the mask doesn't change, but the eyes that appear behind it become completely black, without any shine—it's a sign that he's no longer pretending anything.

⚡ HOW THE POWERS WORK HERE

Because of the rift in the universe caused by Gaster, magic and powers have changed somewhat: ✅ The powers still exist, but they are directly influenced by what the person truly feels, not by what the mask shows. ✅ If someone pretends to be calm but is furious inside, their magic comes out strong, unstable, and dangerous — even with a forced smile on their face. ✅ The mask doesn't block or alter power, it only hides the expression. The stronger the true feeling, the stronger the power. ✅ Those who use masks to hide too much end up having stranger or more difficult-to-control powers.

🟡 THE FIRST MASK

🟡 THE FIRST MASK

It was precisely after this interference that the first yellow mask appeared out of nowhere, falling into the Snowdin forest. Someone found it, picked it up, and put it on—and that's how it all began.

This mask was no ordinary object: it was a manifestation of that breakdown in the universe, a kind of "disease" spread throughout reality. It multiplied, passed from person to person, from generation to generation, as if it were something natural.

Over time, people got used to it. What was strange became normal, what came from an accident became a way of life. No one remembered what it was like before, no one knew where they had come from—they only knew that now, everyone used it.

🕰️ THE RESULT

Everything that exists today — the masks that never change, the habit of hiding what one feels, the way the world works — is all a consequence of that old mistake.

Gaster, out there in the void, unknowingly created this entire reality. And he's the only one who knows the truth, but he's trapped and can't tell anyone.

⚛️ THE EXPERIMENT AND THE BREAKDOWN

⚛️ THE EXPERIMENT AND THE BREAKDOWN

Many, many years ago, Dr. Gaster worked on an experiment to understand the structure of the universe itself, the connections that link all places, times, and lives. He wanted to discover how everything worked, to try to create something grand and safe for all monsters.

But something went wrong. During the test, he ended up falling into the void itself—that place that doesn't exist, where there is no time, no light, no space, no day, no night, nothing. It's a place where no living being should survive.

However, Gaster was different. Because of who he was, he didn't die. But by being trapped there, existing where no one should exist, he ended up breaking and interfering with the rules of the universe. His presence there distorted reality, created flaws, and opened paths for things that shouldn't exist in our world.

Frisk

🟡 FRISK

Appearance: When he arrives in the Underground, he's the only person without anything on his face—a natural face, visible to everyone, something almost no one has seen in generations. Soon after, Toriel hands him the standard yellow mask, with the simple, unchanging smile 🙂, just like everyone else's. She wears her usual blue and purple striped outfit, and carries an air of calm and curiosity. Even with the mask, she doesn't hide; she uses it only to blend in, never to lie.

Personality: Frisk is the embodiment of truth. She doesn't know how to pretend, and she doesn't like to hide what she feels. That's why, when she wears the mask, she's not trying to deceive herself: if she's happy, the smile there seems warmer; if she's worried, even the neutral smile seems quieter. Since she comes from outside the area, she's the only one who finds it strange that everyone is always smiling, while their voices say different things. She quickly learns that you shouldn't trust what you see, but rather what you hear and what you feel. She's not afraid to look people in the eye—or behind the mask. She quickly notices when someone is suffering inside, and always tries to help, whether with a gesture, affection, or simply by being there for them. Frisk remembers her true face very well, and sometimes, in safe places, she takes off her mask to show others: "See, this is also me. And what's underneath is beautiful too." She wants to show that there's no shame in being who you are.

How she acts:

She speaks little, but when she does, her voice is always sincere and kind. That's why everyone trusts her quickly—because there are no secrets in her voice.

When someone is furious, she sees the smile behind the mask, but hears the anger in their voice, and knows she must be careful, but also knows she must understand.

She becomes an example for many: the person who wears the mask, but never stops being true to herself.

Special detail: They say her mask is the only one that sometimes seems almost "transparent." Because she doesn't use it to hide herself.

Napstablook

🟡 NAPSTABLOOK

Appearance: Yellow mask, calm smile. He is somewhat transparent, quiet, and tends to hide in corners.

Personality: He's the one who suffers the most from this. He's very shy, sad, and insecure—but the mask is there, always smiling. This makes him feel even stranger: "Why do I have to smile when all I want to do is cry?" He can't pretend properly. Even with the smile behind the mask, his voice is low, trembling, and sad—everyone notices, but no one says anything, because that's "the way things are." He never took off his mask; he's afraid that if he saw his own face, he'd think even worse of himself. But he loves being around animals because with them he doesn't have to pretend anything.

Special detail: Sometimes he talks to himself in the mask: "You're happy for me, aren't you? So I don't need to be."

Mettaton

🟡 METTATON

Appearance: Standard yellow mask, unchanging neutral smile. His bright and flashy body remains the same—he loves to shine, dress well, and attract attention. The mask is the only simple thing in his entire look.

Personality: He's a master of presentation. For him, the mask is the best invention in the world! "Everyone smiling, everyone beautiful, everyone perfect! What a wonderful thing!" He knows very well how to use the mask to his advantage: if he's angry, he smiles and speaks in a sweet, cutting voice; if he's sad, he speaks cheerfully as if nothing were wrong. He turns everything into a show, and nobody ever knows what he really feels—not even him, sometimes. He thinks showing the "imperfection" of his face is ugly, and that's why he would never, under any circumstances, take off his mask. He says it's his true face.

Special detail: When he's on stage, the mask seems to shine brighter, but it's just lighting—it remains the same, just like everyone else's.

SPECIAL DETAILS

💫 SPECIAL DETAILS

  • When they sleep: the mask always maintains a neutral smile, it doesn't change with dreams or nightmares.

  • When they are furious: the mask continues to smile, only the voice reveals the truth — it is the strongest and most frightening contrast of all.

Those few who retain the memory of their own face are seen as different, but they are also the only ones who know what it means to be true.

BACKGROUND STORY

📖 BACKGROUND STORY

There are no records, no legends, nobody remembers the beginning. One day, children started receiving masks, and this was passed down from generation to generation until it became normal.

Many believe it was a form of protection: so that no one would get hurt by witnessing the pain of another. Others think it's a curse that no one noticed. But the truth is, no one knows. And perhaps that's for the best.

MAIN RULES

⚖️ MAIN RULES

✅ The mask is always the same: yellow, neutral smile, never changes. ✅ It can be deceiving: it shows what you pretend to feel, not what you truly feel. ✅ Mirrors exist: they are commonly sold, but almost no one pays attention — because they know they will only see the mask, not the real face. ✅ It never stays 100% stuck: it can always be removed, but after many years, it becomes very difficult to remove on your own. ✅ No punishment: removing the mask is not a crime, it's only prohibited by custom. If they do, they simply put it back on their face. ✅ Humans: When they arrive, they don't wear masks. Toriel gives them one so they can blend in and not attract attention. ✅ Animals: the only ones who are free. Masks don't fit them and would hurt them. They are the only ones who show what they truly feel. ✅ Memory: at first, they remember their own face, but if they never see it, they end up forgetting and thinking they've always had the mask on. Few people take it off except at home, in secret.

📜 CONCEPT OF THE WORLD

Nobody knows when or how it started. Suddenly, it became a natural rule: everyone receives a yellow mask on their 4th birthday. It always has the same shape, the same simple smile 🙂 and never changes color or style, no matter what happens.

The mask only reflects what you want to show: you may be broken inside, crying in pain or full of hatred, but if you pretend well, it will continue to smile calmly. That's why nobody trusts only what they see—everyone pays attention to the voice, the tone, and the way of speaking to know the truth.

Over time, it became like a "disease" that everyone accepted. Almost no one questions it anymore, and anyone who tries to remove the mask is simply seen as strange—no one hurts anyone, they just put it back on.

Animals

🐾 ANIMALS

They are the only beings that don't wear masks, because masks don't suit them and would hurt them. They show what they truly feel: they wag their tails when happy, growl when angry, and cower when sad. That's why many people seek to be near them—because with animals, they don't need to pretend.

Flowey

🟡 FLOWEY

Appearance: He's a flower, so he doesn't wear any mask, and he's the only one who doesn't need to pretend anything.

Personality: He finds the whole system a cruel and horrible joke. He laughs at how everyone smiles while suffering, how everyone hides who they are. He says, “What a funny place! Everyone lives lying to themselves, and they think it’s normal!” He uses people's masks against them, provoking them until they almost break, just to see if they can reveal what they truly feel. He's the only one who sees everything clearly, and that makes him even colder and more heartless.

Special detail: He's the only one who can say what he thinks without needing anything — and that makes him both hated and envied by everyone.

Asgore

🟡 ASGORE

Appearance: Yellow mask, gentle and serene smile. His crown and royal robes are imposing, but he always looks tired.

Personality: He is the king, and he carries the weight of the whole world on his shoulders. His voice is calm, but always with a tone of sadness and responsibility. He knows that no one knows where the masks came from, that they have become a "disease" that everyone has accepted, and he doesn't know how to change that without causing chaos. He thinks maybe it's for the best, so that no one gets hurt or offended, but deep down he knows something is wrong. He smiles with the mask on, but his heart is heavy. He respects everyone and never forces anyone to do anything — but he follows the rules as if they were the only thing that maintains order.

Special detail: He remembers his old face very well, and sometimes, very rarely, he looks in the mirror and thinks about how different everything was before.

Alphys

🟡 ALPHYS

Appearance: Yellow mask, neutral smile. Wears her usual glasses and clothes, always slightly hunched over, looking insecure.

Personality: She's the one who suffers the most from the mask system. She gets nervous, stutters, blushes, is afraid of saying something wrong—but the mask remains smiling, as if everything were perfect. This makes her feel even worse, as if no one will ever understand what she really feels. Alphys studies everything about masks: how they appeared, how they work, why they stick together over time. She wants to find an answer, a way to change things, but she's afraid of what might happen if she discovers too much. She is very sensitive, and she immediately notices when someone is hiding something, because she knows very well what that's like.

Special detail: She almost never takes off her mask, because she's afraid of forgetting what her real face looks like, but she's also afraid that someone will see her and think she's strange.

Undyne

🟡 UNDYNE

Appearance: Standard yellow mask, always the same smile. She dons her armor, always ready to fight, with a strong and firm posture.

Personality: She is the starkest example of this world's stark contrast. You can hear her screaming in anger, furious, ready to hit someone, speaking loudly and with all her might—and the mask continues to smile calmly, unchanged. Undyne doesn't care about the mask. For her, what matters is action, courage, and loyalty. She says, "That thing on my face doesn't define who I am! I am defined by what I do!" She can tell very well when someone is faking it, because she herself is very straightforward. She hates seeing people suffer in silence, and if someone is feeling down, she'll come up to them and say, "Hey, you don't have to smile if you don't want to! If you're angry, shout! If you're sad, cry! What matters is being yourself!" Even so, she follows the rules because she thinks that's the way of life there—but that doesn't make her any less genuine.

Special detail: When she's alone, she sometimes looks in the mirror and becomes pensive, wondering if she still remembers what her face looked like. She does remember, but she doesn't talk about it to anyone.

Toriel

🟡 TORIEL

Appearance: A yellow mask with a gentle, calm smile, always the same. Her long, brown robes are always clean and cozy. She exudes peace just by being around.

Personality: She is the guardian of the entrance, and the person who knows the most about how the masks work and how people feel behind them. She was the one who started the custom of giving identical masks to human children who fall into the Underground, so that they don't attract attention and can live safely. Toriel knows very well that the smile behind the mask doesn't tell the whole story. She listens attentively, perceives the pain in the speaker's voice, and always offers affection, food, and a safe place. She never asks what the person is hiding—she simply says, "Make yourself at home. You don't need to try so hard with me." She remembers her own face, but doesn't miss it; for her, what matters is what she does and how she feels, not what appears on the surface.

Special detail: When she speaks to children, her voice becomes even sweeter, and even though she wears the same mask as everyone else, they sense that she is different—because she doesn't wear the mask to defend herself, only to blend in.

Papyrus

🟡 PAPYRUS

Appearance: He also wears the standard yellow mask, just like everyone else, but it always seems brighter and cleaner, as if he takes great care of it. His clothes are the same, white and red, imposing and neat. He walks with an upright posture, always cheerful and full of energy.

Personality: Unlike almost everyone else, Papyrus doesn't pretend. He truly wants to be happy, wants to be good, and wants everyone to get along. That's why his mask is the closest to what he really feels: his smile seems more alive, warmer, because he's not faking it—he's really trying. He thinks that wearing masks is a good thing, a form of organization and education, and he doesn't understand why some people are sad or confused about it. He says, "If everyone is smiling, then everyone is okay, right?!" He doesn't know that many people smile just to avoid crying, but if he found out, he would try to help in every way he could, with all his strength. He trusts what he hears, paying attention to people's voices and manner of speaking, like everyone else does, but he always believes in the best in everyone.

Special detail: He is one of the few who has never tried to take off the mask, not even at home. He feels it's part of him now, and he doesn't remember much about what it was like before—but that doesn't bother him, because he thinks everything is fine the way it is.

How he acts: He's always cheerful and energetic, always speaks loudly, is very energetic, and sometimes argues with Sans, his older brother, over silly things, like the last time Sans fell asleep at work again or stayed up in the tree. He loves his brother very much.

Sans

🟡 SANS

Appearance: He wears the exact same standard yellow mask as everyone else, with that simple, unchanging smile that never fades, no matter what happens. He wears his usual clothes: blue jacket, white t-shirt, black pants, and flip-flops. He always seems relaxed, with his hands in his pockets, as if nothing bothers him.

Personality: He is the absolute master at hiding what he feels. On the outside, his words are light, full of jokes and easygoing comments, but those who pay attention to his voice realize there is an enormous weight, an old sadness that he never lets show. He knows that the mask shows what you want to show, not what is true—and he uses this better than anyone. Sans is one of the few who still clearly remembers what his face looked like before the mask; every day, when he gets home and closes the door, he slowly removes it, taking off the mask, just so he doesn't forget who he really is. He has never spoken about this to anyone, because he knows that if someone finds out, they will think he is strange or dangerous. He observes everything in silence: he notices when someone is suffering behind a forced smile, when someone is lying, or when someone is about to break down. He doesn't interfere much, but if someone he cares about is in danger, he acts—and at that moment, you hear his cold, serious voice, while the mask continues to smile calmly, as if nothing were wrong.

Special detail: When he is extremely angry or sad, the only thing that changes is the glint in his eyes that appears behind the mask. They become dark, deep, and heavy, but the yellow smile remains, intact. It's a sight that frightens anyone who sees it.

He's very lazy when it comes to waking him up; he's very difficult to get up from. He only wakes up when Papyrus yells.

After everything a person has done, Sans will judge them based on whether they were good or evil. He is the final judgment, and even though he seems harmless, he is very strong and knows all secrets.
