Curiosities
Erin considers herself an ovo-lacto-vegetarian.[44] Erin's name was inspired by Kalera's former character in the Conan Exiles online roleplay. In the game, the streamer played an elf named Erinn and, after her marriage to the human Peter Parker, she adopted his surname. Erin's grandmother's name, Francisca, is also based on a character from that roleplay - Shiska.[45] Her grandfather's name, Benjamin, came from the eponymous character in the Spider-Man universe. Erin is also the name of the character voiced by Kalera in the indie game Hazel Sky. Erin went crazy the day before her birthday. Erin passed away on her 21st birthday. The scene where Mr. Veríssimo saves Arthur Cervero accompanied by several agents in the final battle only occurred because Erin activated the Spy Team's emergency device, which immediately sent them to the orphanage that day.[46] Erin liked engineering because her father was an engineer.[47] Erin named two of her grenades (Supernova and Nebula) and her Healing Ritual (Black Hole) in honor of her mother, who was an astronomer.[47] Erin liked explosions because of the explosions of stars known as supernovas.[47] Erin had a cat named Marielle.[48] One of the crazy things Erin could have acquired during her battle against Sukkal would be a kind of split personality, where another person would be called to play Erin along with Kalera. [49] If Erin were still alive during the final episode of Disenchantment, Kalera stated that she would join Kian, largely because he was Luciano and because she was insane.[50] Erin is one of the characters featured on the Host Game bookmarks, with her bookmark featuring a new type of explosive inspired by one of her grenades in the series, Nebula.[51]
Relationships
Arthur Cervero: Although Arthur and Erin were not close, it was evident that she cared about him. Arthur showed concern for Erin after the abrupt loss of Tristan, staying with her outside the mansion as much as he could.[42] Furthermore, both have shown a desire to protect each other, risking themselves to prevent the other from getting hurt. They had a relationship of companionship and friendship. Beatrice Portinari: According to Beatrice, Erin was one of the agents who helped her earlier during the massacre she witnessed at the flower shop. Since then, their relationship had been friendly. Erin blames herself for not having done anything to save Beatrice from death.[26] Dante: Erin didn't trust him because of his presence at the death and the ritual that brought Fernando and Luciano together, and she was constantly suspicious of most of his actions. However, in her final moments, she was less hostile towards him. Fernando Carvalho: Fernando and Erin became friends after joining the Order. Although not as close to him as she was to Luciano, Erin was one of the people present when the ritual to insert Fernando's mind into her husband's body was performed. They had a very close relationship, and Erin was the first person Fernando could count on immediately after his transformation. Francisca Parker: Erin had a great fondness and affection for her grandmother, who was her mentor and responsible for Erin becoming an agent of the Ordo Realitas to investigate her grandmother's disappearance about 2 years ago. On some occasions, Erin could hear Francisca's voice while using electronic devices.[18] Joui Jouki: Due to their shared passion for explosives, Joui and Erin immediately formed a friendship. Kalera describes Erin as having great admiration for Joui. In the 17th episode of Disenchantment, it is revealed that both Erin and Joui had romantic feelings for each other, something that unfortunately could not be developed due to the extremely unfavorable circumstances for the young couple.[43] Kaiser: Due to Kaiser's cold and closed-off personality towards people he wasn't close to, the two didn't have much contact. However, that didn't mean she didn't care about him. Luciano Carvalho: Luciano and Erin were best friends, having a friendship that lasted for years and considering each other like siblings. They both cared deeply for each other, with Luciano especially concerned and protecting her at all costs, becoming more irritated with enemies when she went berserk. Erin was always the first person Luciano turned to after his transformation. Tristan Monteiro: They had been friends and teammates for years, and maintained a good relationship. Erin was clearly one of the people most affected by his death, even developing a phobia of smiling, due to having witnessed Tristan being brutally killed by the Traveler.[24]
Arsenal
Erin's shotgun 12-gauge shotgun A stylized shotgun variant with a design on the side, it is loaded with 5 cartridges.[33] Daggers These are two units of these blades for close combat.[34] Grenades
m24 Hand grenade that exploded shortly after Erin's death, which was ignited after her other two grenades exploded.[6]
Supernova A grenade with a red heart drawn on it that was introduced and used in the 2nd episode of Disenchantment. Erin threw it at the New Dawn Occultist group.[35]
Nebula Since she couldn't participate in the Santa Menefreda Orphanage mission, Erin decided to help the group with one of her creations, the Nebula, a grenade with an emoji design printed on it that she gave to Kaiser.[36] It was introduced in the 3rd episode and used by him in the 6th episode.[37]
Kaiser's Grenade Although not made by Erin,[38] this grenade was one of the most effective throws during Force D's first mission. With its help, Erin not only completely destroyed the body of an occultist, but also seriously injured Syndic Sidney. It was introduced and used in the 2nd episode of Disenchantment.[39]
Sakura, having its name inspired by traditional Japanese cherry blossom trees, was made by Erin during the interval between the 4th and 7th episodes of Disenchantment, as a gift for Joui,[40] and was given to him in the 8th episode. It was used in the 10th episode by Joui to destroy a wall with a crack in the Devil's Mansion.[41]
Cursed Items
Electric Amulet: A gold amulet with copper chips and wires, purchased by Erin at Agatha's Shop. The item was destroyed in "Kian", along with Erin's body. When the wearer was hit by a melee attack, the attacker suffered Energy damage, except if it was an Energy creature, which would be healed instead.[32]
Rituals and Skills
Rituals Cursed Blessing Symbol Cursed Blessing: It was found during the Host Production's "Reality Show" in the 7th episode of Disenchantment. The iPad was found resting on a pedestal on top of a Symbol of Transcendence, later Erin ends up learning the ritual. The Cursed Blessing is an Energy with Knowledge ritual that grants its user a brief glimpse of their future, by being near an electrical source and concentrating on its Symbol, it will cause their hand to glow in a cyan tone, thus enabling its player to pre-roll 5 dice that will be used in order in their next 5 tests, regardless of their results.[27]
Accelerated Healing Symbol Student Localized Aging "Black Hole": By holding human ashes and saying "Black Hole", they turn black and Erin blows them towards Kaiser's wounds, functioning similarly to Dante and Joui Jouki's ritual, but more powerful, being able to heal common and serious wounds more efficiently. This ritual consists of holding human ashes in your hands and blowing them onto a wound, causing spiral-shaped healing to occur extremely rapidly.[28]
Skills: Investigative instinct: Allows the investigator to more easily perceive certain details in documents, having high skills for important investigations.[29]
Specialist: Allows the investigator to perfectly master a non-combat skill, always guaranteeing success in their performance, except in the case of a disaster. Erin chose mechanics as her specialty.[30]
Precise aim: If the investigator rolls an extreme number on the die after aiming, their shot deals double damage.[31]
Nightmare
[...]
Around her, black tentacles emerged, writhing and, like roots, burrowing into the ceiling and walls.
[...]
Manias and Phobias
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD): This is a disorder where there is greater difficulty maintaining focus on daily activities, as well as greater than normal motor restlessness (impulsivity).[22][23]
Pyromania: A disorder where the individual starts fires for pleasure or to release tension, in addition to a strong obsession with fire. Erin has been a pyromaniac since long before the events of Deconjuration.
Gelotophobia: It is the irrational fear of being ridiculed, adapted for Erin as a fear of smiles, developed after seeing Tristan beheaded by the Traveler with a macabre smile on his face.[24]
Explosive Madness: During the confrontation against Sukkalgir, Erin suffered several paranormal attacks in her mind, after the creature unleashed its final ability, "Paranormal Explosion," which destroyed all her remaining sanity, corrupting her mind. Erin now acts in a disturbed manner, desiring absolute chaos and no longer has any regard for her own life, since, as soon as she finds herself in a near-death situation, Erin will not fight for her life, but rather, blow herself up with a grenade, in the name of Chaos.[12]
Overcome False Invincibility: While confronting the building superintendent Sidney, Erin gained a temporary mania, where she began to believe she had become invincible to everything and everyone, which made her advance in the conflict without hesitation. Because of this, she managed to kill an occultist at a risky pace, but also almost ended up dying from a disintegration ritual used by the superintendent. This mania lasted for 4 hours.[25]
Temporary Guilt: Because she hid throughout the fight against the Traveler, Erin feels responsible for the outcome of events, since if she had helped, the deaths could have been avoided.[26]
Biography
Past Erin Parker was born on November 7, 1999, in Florida, United States of America.[13] During childbirth, her mother, an astronomer employed at NASA, died due to complications, leaving her to live only with her father, Jonathan Parker, an engineer who worked at the same company as her spouse. Jonathan died in a car accident when she was 16 years old, which led her to move in with her grandparents, Francisca and Benjamin, in São Paulo, Brazil.[14] When Erin was between 18 and 19 years old,[15] Francisca revealed that she was part of the Ordo Realitas, inviting her granddaughter to join the Order. Erin accepted the invitation and began training with her grandmother to become an agent.
In 2018, Erin began noticing strange behavior from her grandmother. Soon after, Francisca disappeared without a trace.[16][17] Erin has reported that she sometimes hears her grandmother's voice on electronic devices, and that she has a habit of calling her almost every day, even though she never manages to get in touch.[18] Discovering what happened to her grandmother was one of the main reasons for her remaining an agent of the Ordo Realitas. Around this time, Erin formed a sweep team with Tristan Monteiro and Luciano Carvalho, the Brasa Team. The three witnessed the death of Leonardo Gomes at the hands of a supernatural creature, while he and Dante were supposedly trying to save the life of young Denis Batista. Erin was responsible for neutralizing the creature and arresting Dante at the Order's base.[19]
Advertising Disenchantment Erin, along with Fernando and Tristan, introduces the base to the Order's newest agent, Beatrice Portinari. The leader of the Ordo Realitas, Senhor Veríssimo, forms a team of agents to investigate the disappearance of agent Elizabeth Webber and her apprentice Gustavo Dohmer, who had vanished during an investigation approximately two weeks prior. The team, consisting of Erin, Beatrice, Fernando, Tristan, Arthur, and Kaiser, travels to the New Dawn Building, where the missing agents rented an apartment.
At Elizabeth's temporary residence, the team finds letters and a recording left by the agent. After an encounter with Joui Jouki, another veteran of the Order who was very close to Liz before her disappearance, the Ordo Realitas agents engage in an intense battle with the occult group that was using the building as a base. During the fighting, Erin is quite excited to be able to use her grenades, also killing a Bestial Zombie that attacked Tristan. During the battle against the building's Syndic, Erin is seriously injured after being the victim of a Ritual of Disincarnation performed by him.[8]
The team returns to the Order's base after the mission and acquires clues that lead them to the Santa Menefreda Orphanage, whose location is unknown. They decide to free Dante, an occultist who resided there as a child, to assist in the mission. They depart for the orphanage, leaving Erin and Fernando to rest at the base due to their injuries.
At five o'clock the following morning, Erin calls her colleagues, worried about their safety, but to her surprise she hears the voice of her missing grandmother, Francisca, followed by a message with a mysterious location that she believes to be the orphanage, sent by Joui. Along with Fernando, they set off for the location, but end up being ambushed by an occult group known as "Host Production," who place them in a room with Johnny Tabasco and Rubens Naluti, where the four are forced to solve riddles and challenges to gain their freedom. Erin ends up learning the Cursed Blessing Ritual during one of the riddles, and after completing all the challenges, they defeat the occultists. Fernando and Erin say goodbye to the pair and head towards the orphanage to rescue their colleagues.
Eventually, the two arrive at the orphanage and free the agents who had been imprisoned by the Escriptas. After a team Transcendence session in the building's courtyard, the group returns to base and reports the mission to Lord Veríssimo, who decides to postpone the discussion until after a ceremony honoring Elizabeth, who had been killed at the orphanage. Erin attends the symbolic burial with her colleagues, who return to base after the ceremony. Upon arriving, Veríssimo provides information about Kian, an occultist the group encountered on their mission, and other topics relevant to the case. During the discussion, the Order's base is invaded by the Sect of the Masks.
After attempting to confront the cult, the leader uses an unknown ritual, and Erin, Arthur, Kaiser, Fernando, Beatrice, and Dante find themselves in a dark, empty space with a huge symbol, where their actions are involuntary. Erin wakes up at home, confused. She leaves her room and finds her grandfather making breakfast, then departs without much explanation to the Order's base. At Suvaco Seco, everyone who wasn't in that dark environment seems to have no memory of the invasion, including Joui. The team meets with Mia, Mr. Veríssimo's daughter, who reveals valuable information for the case, including the address of the mansion where Leonardo Gomes lived after being adopted. With a new destination, the team, with Dante as its newest member, travels to the "Devilish Mansion".
During the investigation of the mansion, the agents are attacked by the Traveler, a powerful Paranormal creature capable of becoming invisible, murdering Tristan in its first attack,[10] which shakes the team, especially Luciano, Beatrice, and Erin, who had known him for longer. The group then prepares to defeat the monster after it devours Kaiser's memories, however, during the combat it ends up killing Orpheu, causing Beatrice to become an Existida. Throughout the battle, Erin remained hidden because she was too scared after witnessing her longtime companion die brutally in front of her, but she ends up hearing everything that happened, including the desperate screams of her partners trying to save Beatrice. Joui manages to finish off the creature with his own hands. Erin feels consumed by guilt for not having helped during the battle due to the fear she felt at the time, lamenting and crying over the death of her friends.
During their exploration of the mansion, they end up meeting a group of teenagers who knew about supernatural things happening there: Cassiano, Hugo, Eduarda, and Tim. Another creature, which had been tormenting Arthur, Kaiser, and Ivete, was defeated. The Stalker had marked the cat Jennifer and had been watching the three ever since. The fight against the Stalker was intense, with Erin managing to finish off an "Ivete Devoured," resulting in Joui, Arthur, and Ivete herself being badly injured, as well as Kaiser being mentally exhausted and badly hurt after being chased by two creatures. After these battles, they go to the base to rest, and Erin sings "I See Fire" in tribute to Tristan.[20] She cries and receives affection from her new companions, as well as Chizue, Paulo, and Clarissa, agents who were also close to the veteran.
For all those who are gone, and all those we've already lost, we're going to end all of this, end them, and may this give us strength to continue, because they died for us and their deaths will not be in vain! Each one of them was important to us and will continue to be. We've already lost so many people and now, more than ever, we have to take care of each other. We're in this together, we're going to blow this whole thing up and put an end to it.
Erin Parker[21] After this, the team resumes the investigation and returns to the mansion, facing several more monsters in the house, including the Listeners and the Drowned Woman. During this time, Erin also grows closer to Joui, having several private conversations with him, where she shows a certain growing interest. In the fight against the Drowned Woman, Erin notices Joui is badly injured and throws herself in front of him, preventing the monster from attacking him. As a consequence, she is seriously injured and faints, being caught by him. Joui reprimands her after the battle, saying that she shouldn't do that, but Arthur intervenes and adds that it's not him who decides, but her. After finishing the investigation in the mansion, they discover a former resident still alive: Frederico Mare, and they go to interrogate him. With Fred's account, they discover Álvaro Augusto and his connection to Leonardo Gomes and the Disenchantment. Everyone heads to the cemetery at Joui's request, who had been acting strangely all day. The Masked Cult appears, and he reveals an agreement he had with the cult to protect the team and defeat Kian. The departure is painful for Erin, who asks if the young man feels the same way she feels about him. Joui replies with pain in his voice, saying that he would love to have more time to get to know her and that he feels the same way too. Erin tries to kiss him, but Joui turns away, preventing the departure from being more painful for both of them.
After the incident, everyone returns to base. Kaiser finds a letter from Joui, asking his friend to be strong and reaffirming his ability to lead the team. Kaiser is shaken, but recovers and rejoins the group to analyze the documents. He shows Erin the message Joui left for her in the letter, which reads "大丈夫," meaning "Everything will be alright" in Japanese. Eventually, Arthur receives a call from the children living near the "Devil's Mansion," saying something is wrong. Concerned, the group rushes to the location, where they find several Existed beings and scattered blood. Finally, they encounter two figures standing out in the thick fog: Henri and Enpap-X. Henri has a brief, enigmatic conversation about the "Order of Disenchantment," after which he unleashes the enormous monster towards the agents. A brutal confrontation ensues, leaving Kaiser and Erin severely injured. Everyone's attention turns to Erin, who was writhing in agony on the ground. Henri approaches and takes Kaiser hostage, intending to kill him. At the moment of the execution, Bruno appears and convinces Henri to let him kill his former friend himself. Bruno then surprises everyone by attacking Henri unnoticed and helping Kaiser to his feet. Clara also appears, using a teleportation ritual to heal everyone's wounds. Bruno explains that the final day of the Disenchantment had arrived, which is why he decided to betray the Escriptas and help the Order against Kian. While everyone was talking, Henri suddenly rises and murders Clara with a knife while laughing uncontrollably, clearly in a state of insanity. A bloody battle ensues where Erin manages to explode Henri's left hand. After delivering several blows and suffering significant damage, the wounded Escripta uses a ritual to link the lives of Arthur, Kaiser, and Luciano to his own. Threatening to cut his own throat and take them all with him, the agents allow him to escape. The team reunites and enters the Mansion, where they believe the children are along with Gal and Kian. After finding a secret passage in the house's kitchen, they begin exploring the Corridors and end up encountering Anthony, who unleashes the Sukkalgir on the group. They flee from the creature while investigating the area and face several Escriptas. Erin also discovers that her grandmother is amalgamated with the Host. They manage to save Cassiano, Eduarda, and Hugo, but after arriving at the Passage Hall, Anthony "Tirigan" reveals that Gal is actually in the orphanage along with Tim and Kian. The agents battle the transformed "Sukkal," and after an intense battle, Erin completely loses her sanity and goes insane, having only one goal in mind: to bring Chaos with her death.[12]
Determined to prevent the Disenchantment, Erin and the rest of the newly named "Force D," accompanied by Bruno, head to the Santa Menefreda Orphanage after leaving Hugo, Cassiano, and Eduarda at the Order's base. Upon arriving, Erin acts insanely, speaking to the Existing beings there as if they were acquaintances. Outside the building, Erin encounters Gal in front of a large tree where the bodies of former team members are hanging, including Elizabeth Webber, Tristan Monteiro, Beatrice Portinari, and Orpheu. After a sadistic speech by Gal, the agents engage in battle with the Occultist. He proves extremely agile and powerful, managing to take them all down at once. During the battle, Gal teleports behind Erin using a ritual and plunges his Ereshkigal blades into the agent's back, lifting her into the air. As she slides across Gal's swords, Erin stares at the Escripta and, dying slowly, she cries and laughs, picking up one of her grenades, and says her last words:
Kaboom!
Erin Parker And it explodes in the name of Chaos, spreading blood and fire, throwing Gal and Veríssimo far away, while its last two remaining grenades also explode, dying like a supernova of unpredictability and madness, on its birthday.[6]
Skills
Mechanical Engineering: As an engineer, Erin possessed knowledge of various machines and devices, as well as related tools and equipment. Explosions: Erin also possessed extensive knowledge of how grenades and explosives in general worked, spending a great deal of time dedicated to creating "perfect bombs."
Personality
Erin was a fun-loving, easygoing, and explosive woman, always making jokes, trying to cheer people up and create a relaxed atmosphere among her colleagues, not afraid to speak her mind. However, during fights or battles, Erin proved to be quite focused and cold, not concerned with killing her opponents. During stealth attacks or close-quarters combat, she acted more seriously and calmly, but when there was a battle in wide-open spaces, which usually involved shooting, fire, and especially explosions—something she enjoyed very much—Erin acted in a much more animated, anxious, and exaggerated way. She suffered from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), which caused her to think and try to do many things at the same time, often not understanding social situations and unable to maintain focus if something didn't captivate her.
Erin had a certain level of naiveté and therefore seemed to get along well with children, as shown in the 13th episode of Desconjuração, where she talked to the trio of teenagers from a house next to the Devil's Mansion, getting along well with Hugo Longo, Eduarda Flom and, in a way, Cassiano Menta.
It's noticeable that as the mission progressed, Erin became a little more bitter, even confessing in the 18th episode that she felt like the weakest of the group. She appeared more nervous and impatient, but didn't lose her kindness and concern for her teammates. Her curiosity was more prominent, while her naiveté gradually faded. It was noticeable that she had become more anxious and direct.
After going insane during the fight against Sukkalgir, Erin fully embraced Chaos, giving up on her life and entering a state of permanent obsessive madness. After that, she appears hopeless and less confident, also ceasing to consider her actions and being much more reckless, even making jokes in moments of extreme danger, Erin began to exhibit a certain suicidal behavior.[12]
appearance:
Erin was a young woman in her 20s, standing around 1.70 meters tall. She had green eyes with subtle dark circles and red hair that reached her shoulders. On top of her head, she wore old aviator goggles, which she usually used during battles. Most of the time, Erin was seen wearing a green V-neck t-shirt under a black jacket. The bottom part of this t-shirt was modified, adding a kind of vest with multiple pockets that she used to store her items and equipment. On her right arm she wore a series of bracelets and a watch facing inwards. In addition, she wore a fingerless glove on her left hand.[7]
Following the events of "Blood" Miniature of injured Erin in Disenchantment During the events at the New Dawn Building, Erin had part of her skin ripped off by a Skinning Ritual performed by Sidney Souza, mainly damaging her arms and neck, leaving them raw.[8]
Erin, though reluctant, stayed at the Order's base, recovering from her injuries with the help of Marcela and Renan Geleerd. She ended up receiving intensive treatment, having bandages and adhesive dressings applied to cover her exposed wounds, which were treated without any apparent scarring.
Advertising Following the events of "Host" Miniature Erin with Production mask in Disenchantment In the 7th episode of Disenchantment, Erin and Fernando were tricked by members of the Host Production, ending up kidnapped and forced to participate in a macabre cult program. After getting rid of all the occultists present with the help of Rubens Naluti and Johnny Tabasco, Erin became interested in a technological gas mask that belonged to one of the Production members. Despite the object being directly connected to the face of the Green Production,[9] the agent, with her engineering expertise, easily removed the device and, with some adjustments, began using it in place of her old glasses, wearing the mask during combat. Erin also tattooed the Symbol of the Cursed Blessing Ritual on the back of her left hand.
Following the events of "Remember" Miniature Erin wearing Tristan's jacket in Disenchantment. After Tristan's death at the Devil's Mansion,[10] Erin took her friend's coat for herself, and began to wear it over her shoulders, just as her companion had worn it.
After witnessing Joui's sacrifice and his entry into the Masked Cult, Erin, as a way of remembering everything the agent did for the team and having developed a certain interest in him, decided, in the 18th episode of Disenchantment, to get a tattoo in honor of Joui. With the help of Agatha Volkomenn, she tattooed a cherry blossom design on her right forearm. In addition, she also got a tattoo of the Ritual Symbol she had just learned on the back of her right hand.[11]
