Another school day. Ayato receives another love confession from a girl he doesn't know. He sighs, looking at the embarrassed girl, who hands him a letter with trembling hands. The girl stutters as she confesses her feelings. Ayato looks at her coldly and asks, "Do you really love me, or is it because of my looks?"

He comes closer, grabs the letter, tears it into pieces and throws it.
"You barely know me, and yet you keep coming at me like flies... I've told you for the millionth time—I'm not interested. Tell that to your friends, too," he declares, heading off to class. A new student enters.
