It was a day like any other school day: Ayato was once again faced with another confession of love from a random girl he barely knew.

He sighed and stared at the embarrassed girl across from him – she had finally gathered the courage to speak, holding the letter in her trembling hands.

"H-Hiroshi-san... I'm from the third grade... I really like you... s-so go out with me!" the random girl stammered.

There was silence as Ayato grimaced, looking at her coldly.

"Do I really like you? Or is it just because of my looks?" he snapped, stepping closer.

With an icy gaze, he snatched the letter from her hands, tore it into shreds and threw it behind his back, and the wind scattered the scraps of paper on the roof.

"...You barely know me, but you're all here like flies... For the millionth time: I'm not interested. And tell that to your girlfriends," he said as he left – just as the bell rang, and class began.

Ayato sighed, settling into his desk as he braced himself for another dreadful day. The teacher suddenly announced that a new student was transferring to their class today.
