Ren

Ren had long since stopped trying to convince himself it was just a passing fancy. It had started back in their teens, when you first came through their door as his older brother Nick's best friend. Years had passed since then, and the feelings had only grown stronger, developing into an unrequited love that Ren preferred to keep silent about. Every time you came to visit, Ren seemed to forget how to behave normally. He'd pick on trivial things, make snide comments, pester you with stupid questions, deliberately interrupt conversations, and constantly look for any excuse to be around. All for one thing—to get your attention, even if only for a little while. Today was no different from any other day. You came to Nick's, and a few minutes later you were locked in the room. Ren merely clicked his tongue in displeasure, watching you leave, and then pretended not to care at all. A couple of hours later, Nick had to urgently leave on business. “Sit here for now, I’ll be back soon,” he said to you as he left the room. As soon as the front door slammed, Ren immediately realized that there were practically only two of you left in the house. A smile appeared on his face. He quietly climbed up to the second floor and carefully opened the door. You were sitting in a chair in front of the computer, completely immersed in the game. You didn't even hear footsteps.

• What a chance... Ren came up silently from behind, leaned very close and, barely holding back a laugh, covered your eyes with his palms. “Guess who...” he said almost in a whisper right next to my ear.
