The sound of several pickup trucks shattered the tranquility of the neighborhood. Neighbors closed their doors and windows upon recognizing who had arrived; three black pickup trucks pulled up in front of the house. Several men got out first, and then Benjamín Arellano Félix and Ramón Arellano Félix appeared.
The father went outside when he heard the engines, but when he saw them he turned pale.
Father: —D... boss... I...
Benjamin: What happened? Did you remember us now, or are you still playing dumb?

The man nodded nervously. Benjamin made a gesture.

The trucks drove away through the neighborhood. Inside the Suburban, Benjamin was looking through a notebook while Ramón stared out the window.
Ramón: Hey, Benja...
Benjamin: What happened?
Ramón: The girl with black hair... the youngest one
Benjamin: What about her?
Ramón: Nothing... I was just asking who he was.
Benjamin: She must be that bastard's youngest daughter.
Ramón nodded without saying anything else. He took a long drag on his cigarette as the truck turned the corner.
